Not for public roads, pavements or cycle paths. Scooter rules differ by country, and most models in this range exceed what road use allows, which makes them motor vehicles needing type approval, registration and insurance. Check the rules where you ride before you buy.
See UK LegislationThis one carries 374 Wh of battery. The maker quotes 16 mi; in mixed riding with some hills, expect nearer 12 mi. A full charge costs about £0.10. Across a year that is roughly £976.00 less than making the same journeys by car, so the bike pays for itself in about 5 months. Everything here is worked out from this bike's own specification. Estimates, not promises: the assumptions are printed underneath.

A seated electric scooter for £349
The SAMEBIKE SM-C01 is a folding electric scooter with a seat, on 12-inch tyres, at £349.
We sell it for private land only. Read the panel above before you order.

Where you may ride it, and where you may not
In the UK, privately owned electric scooters may not be used on public roads, pavements or cycle paths. Only rental scooters in government trial areas may, and this is not one.
That is true whatever its speed or power: the restriction is on the vehicle type, not on the specification. It is sold for your own land, or land whose owner has given you permission.

A seat, which is the point of this machine
Most scooters are ridden standing. This one is not.
- Sitting lowers the centre of gravity and steadies the machine
- Your legs stop absorbing every ridge in the surface
- On a twenty-minute run that is the difference between tiring and not
- And there are no pedals at all, which SAMEBIKE states plainly

Sixteen to twenty-five miles
SAMEBIKE publishes 25 km on the throttle alone and up to 40 km overall, from a 36V 10.4Ah pack.
Our table carries 16 miles, the cautious figure. Four to six hours for a full charge. The panel below turns the capacity into energy per mile.

No suspension, and twelve-inch tyres
SAMEBIKE lists no suspension at either end, so the tyres do all of the work.
Twelve inches is large for a scooter and small for anything else. On smooth tarmac it is comfortable; on broken paving it is not. The seat helps more than a suspension fork would on a machine this size.

Mechanical disc brakes and a steel frame
Cable discs at both ends on a high-carbon steel frame, with a half-twist throttle and a colour LCD display.
Steel bends before it breaks, which matters at a folding joint, and it damps vibration better than aluminium. It rusts, so keep it dry.

Before the first ride, and who it is for
It weighs 44 lbs, folds, and is 118 × 48 × 95 cm unfolded. The payload is 220 lbs, lower than 99% of our catalogue, so check it against your own weight. No torque figure is published and that row stays empty below.
- Check every stem clamp and the folding latch, then check them again after the first hour
- Bed both disc brakes in at walking pace and learn your stopping distance
- Set the cable tension, and check it again after the first ride
- Helmet and gloves, every time
- Allow four to six hours for the first charge
Buy it if you have ground of your own and you want to sit down. At £349 it is the least we can sell a seated machine for, and the seat is what it is for.

- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
