Where you can and cannot ride it
A privately owned electric scooter cannot legally be used on a public road, pavement or cycle path in the UK, at any power.
This one is sold for your own property, or land where the owner has given you permission.
Solid tyres are a real choice, not a cheap one
Nine and a half inch solid tyres. They cannot puncture, ever, and they need no pressure checking.

- No pump, no patches, no pressure gauge
- No slow leak that leaves it unusable in the shed
- And a firmer ride, which is the honest trade
On a machine used around a yard or a site rather than over rough trails, never having a puncture is worth more than the cushioning you give up.
Auto cruise control
Hold a speed and it stays there without keeping the throttle pressed.
On a long straight run it removes the thumb ache that nobody mentions until they have done twenty minutes of it. It is the sort of feature that sounds trivial and gets used every ride.
Seventeen degrees of climb
A stated climbing slope of up to seventeen degrees, which is roughly one in three.
A number committed to paper beats a paragraph about power, and most makers at this price will not print one.
IP45, and a folded height of fifty two centimetres
Rated IP45 against dust and splashing water, folding to 114 by 51 by 52 centimetres.

One brake rather than two is the clearest compromise on this machine. At 22 mph it works, but leave more room than you would on something with discs at both ends, and bed it in properly before you rely on it.
Before the first ride
It arrives largely assembled and folded.
- Check every fastener on the stem and the folding latch before the first ride, and again after the first hour
- Bed the rear disc in at walking pace and learn its stopping distance
- Start on the lowest of the three speed settings
- There is no tyre pressure to set, which is the point of solid tyres
- Charge to full before the first ride
Who should not buy it
Anyone without land, anyone over a hundred and twenty kilograms, and anyone whose ground is genuinely rough, where solid tyres and a single brake are the wrong answer.
Buy it if you want something light and maintenance free for short runs around a yard, a site or a field. Never checking a tyre and never fixing a puncture is the whole reason this machine exists.

- Yes. You can ride the bike and still return it. Tell us within 30 days of delivery and we book the courier and collect it from your door. Contact us first and we will guide you through the process.
- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
