The isinwheel GT1 is an 800W off-road scooter with indicators built into the deck, cruise control and a thirty per cent climbing figure, at £789.
It unlocks to 28 mph and is not an electrically assisted pedal cycle, so we sell it for private use on private land. Please read the panel above before you order.
Where you can and cannot ride it
A privately owned electric scooter cannot legally be used on a public road, pavement or cycle path in the UK. That applies to every scooter sold anywhere, whatever its power.
This one is sold for your own property, or land where the owner has given you permission.
Indicators on the side of the deck
Not on the handlebars: down at foot level where a following rider actually looks.
Most scooters have no indicators at all and you signal with an arm, which means taking a hand off the bars at speed. Having them, and having them where they can be seen, is a real difference on shared ground.
Two things that are off by default
Zero-start and cruise control are both shipped disabled.

- Both are switched on deliberately rather than found by accident

Eight hundred watts and thirty per cent

The default speed set runs 6, 10, 15 and 25 km/h; unlocked it runs 15, 25, 35 and 45.
Ten inch pneumatic off-road tyres
Air tyres rather than solid ones, with a front fork and a double spring shock at the back.
Solid tyres never puncture and transmit everything. Air tyres do the opposite, and on gravel and dirt at speed that is the trade worth making. A puncture is a repair; a compressed spine is not.
Twenty eight miles from 480 watt hours
A 48 volt ten amp hour pack with temperature, overload and water protection listed on it, filling in four to five hours.
The battery protections are stated individually, which is what a battery management system should do and not every maker at this price names them.

Disc brakes and hidden electronic brakes
Front and rear discs plus electronic braking through the motor.
The electronic brake takes the everyday slowing and wears nothing; the discs are there for the stop that matters. Together they last far longer than discs doing all the work.

Anyone without land, and anyone expecting to commute. IPX4 also means rain and puddles rather than a jet wash, so it is not a machine to hose down.
Buy it if you have ground, and you want indicators, cruise control and app control on something that will climb a one in three. At seven hundred and eighty nine pounds it is well equipped for what it is.

- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
