Eighteen vents, 58 to 62 cm, adjustable at the back

A polycarbonate shell over an EPS foam core, which is the construction nearly every cycle helmet uses: the foam crushes on impact and absorbs what would otherwise reach your skull, and the hard shell spreads the blow and lets the helmet slide rather than snag.

Eighteen vents, a rear adjuster and side straps that move, a detachable sun visor, and washable pads inside.

The maker does not state a safety standard, and we are not going to imply one

This is the one thing you should know before ordering, and it is why it appears in the third line rather than the last.

    • The listing states the materials, the vents, the size and the fit
    • It does not state CE EN 1078, UKCA, or any other standard
    • Our other helmet, the Cycle Helmet with Detachable Visor, states CE EN 1078 on its page
    • We have asked the supplier for this one's certificate

A standard that is not written down is not a standard you can rely on. If that matters to you, and on a helmet it reasonably does, buy the one that names it.

Measure your head before you order

Take a tape around your head about a centimetre above your eyebrows, at the widest point. That figure is your size.

The listing gives the range as 58 to 62 cm in its title and size chart, and as 58 to 61 cm in one of its bullets. If you measure 61 or 62, the two figures disagree about you, so write to us and we will measure the shell itself before we send one.

    How it should sit

Level, not tipped back. Two fingers of gap between your eyebrows and the rim, the side straps making a V just under each ear, and the chin strap tight enough that you can get one finger under it and no more.

Then push the front of the helmet up with one hand. If it slides back and exposes your forehead, the cradle needs tightening. A helmet that moves in your hand moves in a crash.

Wearing one is your choice in the UK

There is no law requiring an adult cyclist to wear a helmet in the UK, on a pedal cycle or on an EAPC, and we are not going to tell you there is.

What is worth saying is that our bikes are heavier than the bicycle most people learned on, between 23 and 39 kg, and they hold their speed for longer. A low-speed fall off a 30 kg bike puts the same head on the same kerb.

The part nobody mentions: replace it after a knock

The EPS core works by crushing, once. A helmet that has taken a real impact has already done its job, even when the outside looks fine, and the crushed foam underneath will not do it again.

Replace a helmet after any crash that involved your head, and replace one that has been dropped hard onto concrete. It is the cheapest safety item in this shop and the only one with an expiry date written into how it works.

Are the electric bikes brand new?
Yes. All electric bikes sold by BikTron are brand new, factory-sealed, and sourced directly from authorised manufacturers and official distributors.
How do I choose the right electric bike for me?
Pick a bike based on how you plan to ride. City bikes are great for commuting, folding bikes work well if you need compact storage, mountain bikes handle hills and mixed terrain, and cargo bikes are ideal for carrying shopping or loads. If you are not sure, our Bike Quiz can help.
Are the batteries original and certified?
Yes. Every electric bike battery is brand new and original from the manufacturer, with full safety certification and performance testing.
Are the bikes tested before shipping?
Yes. Each e-bike goes through a quality check before dispatch, covering electronics, brakes, motor response, and battery performance.
Do electric bikes come with a warranty?
Yes. All electric bikes from BikTron include a manufacturer warranty. Duration depends on the brand and model. Most bikes include a 12-month warranty as standard.
    How long does delivery take?
Standard UK delivery usually takes 2 to 7 business days. Remote areas may take a little longer. You will receive a tracking link by email once your order is dispatched.
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Klarna buy-now-pay-later. All payments are processed securely.
Can I return my electric bike?
Yes. You can ride the bike and still return it. Tell us within 30 days of delivery and we book the courier and collect it from your door. Contact us first and we will guide you through the process.
    Do the bikes need assembly?
Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
    What about the electric scooters?
Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
