These guides are written by the Biktron team. We sell the bikes we write about, so it matters that you can see how we reach a judgement and what it is based on.

How we evaluate a bike
- Specifications come from the manufacturer and supplier data sheets behind each product page, extracted before any copy is written, so a spec table and the text beside it cannot disagree.
- Prices are the live prices on our own storefront, read at the moment the page loads, never numbers typed into an article months earlier.
- Road-legal status is checked against the national rules for the country each storefront serves, and the source is linked in the article.
- Quoted range and speed are the manufacturer's figures, and we label them as such. Real range on hills and in cold weather is lower, and we say so rather than repeating the box number as fact.
- Where we score a bike, the score is our editorial judgement of value at its price, not a laboratory measurement.
What we do not claim: we do not run instrumented range or brake tests, and we do not publish measurements we have not made. Where a figure comes from the manufacturer, the article says so.
Corrections and updates
Specifications and law change. When we correct an article the modification date on it moves; when we only reschedule or re-publish it, it does not.
