Hardened Chain Combination Lock
SKU: Q31326In Stock
830 mm of 7 mm hardened chain, 750 g
A chain lock with a 5-digit combination you set yourself, so there is no key to lose and no key to copy. The chain is 7 mm hardened steel inside a nylon sleeve, 830 mm long, and the whole thing weighs 750 g.
The length is the number to check first. 830 mm goes around a 26 inch frame tube and a stand, or through both wheels, but it will not reach around a 20 x 4.0 fat tyre and a thick town-centre stand at the same time.

What this lock is honestly for
It is a deterrent, and it should be bought as one.
- It stops the opportunist with a pair of pliers and thirty seconds
- It does not stop an angle grinder, and nothing at this price does
- It carries no Sold Secure rating, gold, silver or bronze
- Many UK insurers name a Sold Secure rating in the small print of an e-bike policy
If your bike is insured, read what your policy asks for before you rely on this. We would rather tell you that here than have you find out after a claim.

Setting the combination
It arrives on 00000. The instructions in the box walk through the reset, which takes about a minute and is worth doing before the first ride rather than in a car park in the rain.
Pick five digits you will still know in six months. A combination lock that defeats its owner has the same effect as no lock at all, and the reset needs the lock open.

How to lock a heavy e-bike
Our bikes weigh between 24 and 39 kg, which changes the job. A thief does not carry one away; they ride it or wheel it.
So put the chain through the rear wheel and the frame, around something fixed to the ground. The rear wheel is the one with the motor in it on every bike we sell, and it is the expensive half. A lock through the front wheel alone leaves the rest of the bike behind when the quick release comes off.

Living with it
The nylon sleeve is there to keep the steel off your paintwork, and it does that as long as it stays on the chain.
Wipe the chain dry after a wet ride and put a drop of light oil in the lock body once or twice a year. A combination barrel that has sat outside all winter unlubricated is how these fail, and it fails locked.

Who should buy something else
If you park a four-figure bike on a city street overnight, this is not enough lock and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Buy a rated D-lock and use this as the second one that makes a thief pick another bike.
Where it earns its place is everything else: the station rack for an hour, the shed at home, the café stop, the second lock through both wheels while a better lock holds the frame. Two locks of different kinds take two sets of tools, and that is most of the battle.
- Are the electric bikes brand new?
- Yes. All electric bikes sold by BikTron are brand new, factory-sealed, and sourced directly from authorised manufacturers and official distributors.
- How do I choose the right electric bike for me?
- Pick a bike based on how you plan to ride. City bikes are great for commuting, folding bikes work well if you need compact storage, mountain bikes handle hills and mixed terrain, and cargo bikes are ideal for carrying shopping or loads. If you are not sure, our Bike Quiz can help.
- Are the batteries original and certified?
- Yes. Every electric bike battery is brand new and original from the manufacturer, with full safety certification and performance testing.
- Are the bikes tested before shipping?
- Yes. Each e-bike goes through a quality check before dispatch, covering electronics, brakes, motor response, and battery performance.
- Do electric bikes come with a warranty?
- Yes. All electric bikes from BikTron include a manufacturer warranty. Duration depends on the brand and model. Most bikes include a 12-month warranty as standard.
- How long does delivery take?
- Standard UK delivery usually takes 2 to 7 business days. Remote areas may take a little longer. You will receive a tracking link by email once your order is dispatched.
- Which payment methods do you accept?
- We accept Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Klarna buy-now-pay-later. All payments are processed securely.
- Can I return my electric bike?
- Yes. You can ride the bike and still return it. Tell us within 30 days of delivery and we book the courier and collect it from your door. Contact us first and we will guide you through the process.
- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
