This bike is built to comply with UK Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle (EAPC) regulations, meaning it can be used on public roads and cycle paths without registration, tax, or a licence. Motor assistance is limited to 250W and cuts off at 15.5 mph (25 km/h).
See UK LegislationThis one carries 864 Wh of battery. The maker quotes 43 mi; in mixed riding with some hills, expect nearer 32 mi. A full charge costs about £0.24. Across a year that is roughly £978.00 less than making the same journeys by car, so the bike pays for itself in about 12 months. Everything here is worked out from this bike's own specification. Estimates, not promises: the assumptions are printed underneath.

100 newton metres from a legal 250W motor
The SAMEBIKE M20 claims 100 Nm of torque, runs front and rear suspension and carries 331 lbs, at £949, down from £1,199.
250W and 15.5 mph: it meets the EAPC rules, so there is no licence, no tax and no registration.

One hundred newton metres, and why that is the number to read
It is the torque of a far more powerful machine, on a motor that stays within the rules.
- Torque is what gets you up a steep hill without a run-up
- It is also what moves a loaded bike away from a junction
- Rated power tells you nothing about that capacity
- And it is what separates two 250W bikes in use

Suspension at both ends
A suspension fork and a rear shock, so both ends of the bike work.
On 20 × 4 inch tyres run soft, that is three stages of cushioning between you and the road. This bike does not fold, which is why the frame can be built as one piece.

Hydraulic brakes on an 89 lb bike
Hydraulic rather than cable, which on a machine this heavy loaded to 331 lbs is necessary rather than optional.
One finger is enough, they do not fade on a long descent, and they keep their bite in the wet.

SAMEBIKE publishes both ranges
Seventy kilometres on the throttle alone, up to 140 with pedal assist, from a 48V 18Ah pack.
Our table carries 43 miles. Both figures are true and describe two ways of riding: the first is the one to hold on to if you plan to let the motor work. Four to six hours for a full charge, which is short for this capacity.

A high-carbon steel frame, and what that means
Most of this catalogue is aluminium. This one is steel, and on a retro-styled bike it is the consistent choice.
Steel damps vibration better and bends before it breaks. It is heavier, which is most of why this bike is 89 lbs, and it rusts, so keep it dry.

A USB charger on the bike
SAMEBIKE fits a USB socket, so a phone charges from the main battery.
Five assist levels, a thumb throttle and a Shimano 7-speed transmission. The saddle sits at 82.5 cm and the total length is 175 cm.

Before the first ride, and who it is for
It arrives nearly built and weighs 89 lbs, so unpacking is easier with two people.
- Fit the front wheel, the handlebars and the pedals
- Bed the hydraulic brakes in at walking pace before the first descent
- Set the rear shock to your weight
- Run the tyres soft for grip, firmer for range
- Allow four to six hours for the first charge
Buy it for the torque and the suspension, with £250 off. It is a legal fat-tyre bike that climbs like a much more powerful one, and the steel frame is what gives it the ride to match the look.

- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it.
