Where you can and cannot ride it
The limit for an electrically assisted pedal cycle is 250W continuous and 15.5 mph of assistance. This is three times the power.
It is sold for your own property, or land where the owner has given you permission. If you need something for public roads, we list plenty of 250W bikes and will point you at the right one.
How it differs from the I7 Pro 3.0
We list the Vitilan I7 Pro 3.0 at £989 on the same 750W motor and the same twenty amp hour Samsung pack.
The I7 Pro has an air suspension fork, eight gears and a crossbar, at seventy eight pounds. This one has a spring fork, seven gears and a step-through frame, at seventy pounds. Eight pounds lighter and a hundred and fifty pounds cheaper, and you step through instead of over. The air fork is what the extra money buys.
Step-through on a fat bike is unusual
Dropping the top tube on a frame that also folds and carries four inch tyres is awkward to engineer, which is why almost nothing does all three.

A 48 volt twenty amp hour pack, larger than nearly three quarters of our catalogue, and removable so it charges indoors.
Vitilan quote 65 to 97 km, which is 40 to 60 miles, and the spread is honest: use the 750 watts and you get the bottom of it, pedal and you get the top.

A hundred and eighty millimetre hydraulic brakes
Hydraulic discs with 180 mm rotors, which is a larger disc than most bikes at this price fit even at the front.
A bigger rotor means more leverage and more surface to shed heat. On a seventy pound bike capable of 28 mph, that is the most important specification on the sheet.
Signal turn lights, an electric horn and fenders
A rear light with indicators built in, an electric horn rather than a bell, and mudguards included rather than sold separately.
Being seen changing direction is worth more than another line of specification when there are other people on the track.
A twist throttle as well as five assist levels
A twist grip throttle moves the bike with no pedalling at all, alongside the usual five levels of assist and a Shimano seven speed.
The controller is a 48 volt 25 amp unit, which is what allows the 1200 watt peak Vitilan quote.
Who it fits
Vitilan size it for riders between 5ft 3in and 6ft 5in. The saddle runs from 33.8 to 37.4 inches and the handlebar adjusts through five inches.
An adjustable bar is rarer than an adjustable seat post and it is what makes a folding bike fit two different people properly.
Before the first ride
Five hours to a full charge on the supplied 3 amp charger, and it arrives folded and largely built.

What Vitilan did not state, and who should not buy it
There is no frame material published for this model, so the table below leaves that row out. IPX6 covers water; the frame does not get a figure.
It is not for public roads, and at seventy pounds it is not a bike to carry upstairs. Buy it if you have land, you want to step through rather than climb over, and you want the fat tyres and the 180 mm brakes without paying for the air fork.

- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
