This Bike Is Not Road Legal. Private Land Use Only.
This bike cannot be ridden on public roads, pavements, or cycle paths in the UK. Its motor output and assisted top speed exceed the legal limits set by the UK Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle (EAPC) regulations, which cap electric bikes at 250W motor power and 15.5 mph (25 km/h). Because this bike exceeds both thresholds, it is classified as a motor vehicle and would require registration, insurance, and a valid licence to use on public roads. This bike is designed exclusively for use on private land such as farms, estates, and off-road tracks where road traffic law does not apply.
See UK LegislationEighty newton metres on a folding frame
The Vitilan V3 2.0 carries a 750W motor and the highest torque figure on this page, on a bike that folds. Its motor is three times the UK road limit, so we sell it for private land only: ground you own, or ground where you have permission.
Not a road, not a pavement, not a cycle path. That decides the purchase, so it comes first.

Torque is the number that matters off tarmac
Eighty newton metres is what keeps the wheel turning on a loose climb or a wet bank, where a weaker motor spins and stops.
Top speed is not the point on private ground. Getting up the thing in front of you is.

Hydraulic brakes, which this needs
Hydraulic discs rather than cables. They do not fade on a long descent and do not lose their bite when the tracks are wet and gritty.
With this much torque on a folding frame, cable brakes would be the weak link.

Twenty-inch wheels, for putting power down
Small wheels give the motor more mechanical advantage and keep the standover height low, so getting on and off is easy even on rough ground.
They also make the folded package smaller, which is the other half of why this bike is shaped the way it is.

Aluminium, and it folds for the car
An aluminium frame keeps the weight down on a machine carrying a motor this size, and it will not rust between sessions outdoors.
The hinge is for getting it into a boot rather than onto a train: you drive to the land you are allowed to ride on.

It carries a rider and a load
The rated payload leaves real headroom above an adult rider with a pack, which is what you want on a machine used for working ground rather than commuting.
Compare the figure in the table below with your own weight plus what you take with you.

What to do before the first ride
It arrives largely assembled.
- Unfold and lock the frame hinge, the stem and the seat post
- Bed the hydraulic brakes in at walking pace before using the power
- Set tyre pressure for the ground you are riding
- Confirm you have somewhere private and lawful to ride it
- Charge to full once before the first session

Two figures the manufacturer did not give
Vitilan did not state a weight or a charging time for this model, so we do not print either. The table below leaves those rows out rather than filling them with an estimate.
If the weight matters to you, and on a folding bike it usually does, ask us before you order and we will put one on the scales.

A short range, and no pretending otherwise
Thirty miles is among the lower figures we list, and a 750W motor used at 750W will not reach it. The bands in the table below are the honest version.
This is a machine for short sessions on land near where you keep it. If you want a private-land bike that will do a long day, there are better choices on this shelf, and we would rather point you at one than sell you this and have it come back.
This one carries 624 Wh of battery. The maker quotes 30 mi; in mixed riding with some hills, expect nearer 23 mi. A full charge costs about £0.17. Across a year that is roughly £977.00 less than making the same journeys by car, so the bike pays for itself in about 10 months. Everything here is worked out from this bike's own specification. Estimates, not promises: the assumptions are printed underneath.
