Full suspension on a 52 volt system, road legal
The Cyrusher Rover has suspension at both ends, a 52 volt system and a torque sensor, claiming 62 miles, at £1,464 from £1,799.
Road legal at 250W: no licence, no tax, no insurance, nothing to register.
Oil spring suspension at both ends
An adjustable oil and spring fork at the front and an oil spring shock at the back, rated 165 by 750 lbs.
Oil damped rather than plain sprung, which means it settles after a bump instead of bouncing you through the next one. Both ends adjust, which is what separates suspension that works from suspension that is merely fitted.
Fifty two volts
Higher system voltage moves the same power at lower current, so there is less heat in the controller and wiring and less sag when the motor is under load.
Very few road legal bikes use it. On an eighty seven pound bike climbing with a load, it is the reason the assistance holds rather than fading.
A torque sensor and a thumb throttle
Both, which is unusual. The torque sensor scales the motor to how hard you press; the throttle moves the bike with no pedalling at all.

One hundred and eighty millimetre hydraulic brakes
Fully hydraulic with 180 mm rotors front and rear, larger than most bikes at this price fit even at the front.
More leverage and more surface to shed heat, so they hold on a long descent instead of fading. On an eighty seven pound bike rated to carry 350 pounds, that matters going down more than the motor matters going up.
Twenty six inch fat tyres, puncture resistant
Twenty six by four inches rather than the usual twenty. A bigger wheel rolls over obstacles instead of climbing them and holds speed across rough ground.

Sixty two miles, and 800 charge cycles
A 52 volt 15.6 amp hour pack inside the frame, rated for 800 full cycles, quoted at 100 km. The charger is CE and UL certified, which is stated rather than assumed.

- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
