Step through it, do not climb over it
The SAMEBIKE C05 Pro pairs a low step-through frame with four-inch tyres, which is an unusual and very practical combination. You get on and off without swinging a leg over anything, and you still have the tyres for a bad road.
It is road legal at 250W, folds, and is listed several hundred pounds below its original price.
The low frame is not only about getting on
It makes stopping in traffic easier, because you can put both feet down without dismounting. It suits a rider with a stiff hip or knee. It works in a coat, a skirt or work clothes.
And when the bike is loaded with shopping, swinging a leg over a high top tube is exactly when people fall off.
Fat tyres make it forgiving at low speed
Four-inch tyres and a low frame make this the most reassuring bike here to ride slowly: through a crowded high street, over a kerb, on wet leaves. The contact patch is large and it does not feel nervous.
They also work as suspension, which is why the ride stays comfortable without a rear shock.
Aviation-grade aluminium, which keeps the weight sane
The frame is 6061 aluminium rather than steel. On a bike carrying tyres this size that is the difference between heavy and unmanageable.

Heavy, and the tyres cost you range
A step-through frame needs more material to stay stiff, and four-inch tyres are not light. Together they make this a bike you wheel rather than carry, folded or not.
Those tyres also drag on tarmac. If your route is entirely smooth road and you want the range figure to hold up, a narrow-tyred bike will do better. Buy this one for the low frame and the confidence at walking pace, which is what it is actually for.

- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
