The DYU A1F Pro is a compact folder on sixteen-inch wheels, built for short urban trips rather than long rides. It fills from empty in three to four hours, which is quicker than almost anything else we sell.
It is road legal at 250W: no licence, no tax, no insurance.
Sixteen-inch wheels: a middle size that works
Larger than the fourteen-inch wheels on the smallest folders, small enough to keep the package compact and the bike nimble in traffic.
It rides more steadily than a fourteen-inch bike and stores almost as small, which for most riders is the better end of that trade.
Disc brakes front and rear
Discs rather than rim brakes, at both ends. On small wheels there is less rim to grab and less time to stop, so this matters more here than on a full-size bike.
They also keep their bite when the wheels are wet, which rim brakes do not.
Three to four hours, from empty
A small pack on a quick charge. Plug it in when you get in and it is ready before you go out again.
That suits how a bike like this actually gets used: several short trips a day rather than one long one, with a charge squeezed in between.
It folds for the boot, the hallway or the office
Compact enough for the boot of a small car, the space behind a door, or under a desk. That is the whole argument for a bike this size.
A folding bike that is awkward to fold does not get folded; this one is simple enough that it will.
The motor is there for the hills you have
Two hundred and fifty watts on a small, light bike goes further than the same motor on a heavy one, because there is less to move.
Assistance stops at the legal limit, and on a bike of this size that is plenty quick enough.

A very small battery, and short journeys
Seven and a half amp-hours is the smallest capacity on our shelf, and twenty-five miles is the claim at the lowest assist level on flat ground. The bands in the table below are the realistic version, and winter will take more off them.
Small wheels also drop into potholes a larger wheel rides over, so a badly surfaced road is genuinely unpleasant. Buy this for short urban hops and the quick charge is a real advantage. Buy it for a ten-mile commute and it is the wrong bike.

- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
