The easiest bike here to pick up and carry
The SAMEBIKE 20LVXD30-II is among the lightest full-size folders we sell, and that is the whole argument for it. At fifty-five pounds it is a bike you can actually lift onto a train or up a short flight of stairs.
It is road legal at 250W, and it is listed at roughly half its original price.
It folds thinner than almost anything
Folded it is about thirty-six centimetres across. That is narrow enough to stand behind an office door, slide down the side of a hallway, or go into the boot of a small hatchback alongside the shopping rather than instead of it.
Plenty of folding bikes fold to a shape that only an estate car will take. This one does not.
Narrow tyres, because it is a town bike
The tyres are slim rather than fat, which makes it noticeably quicker and easier to pedal than the fat-tyre folders here.
That is the right trade for a city: speed and lightness over rough-ground ability. It is the wrong trade for a gravel path, and we would rather say so now.
Aluminium, which is where the weight went
The frame is 6061 aluminium rather than steel. That is the single reason this bike is light enough to carry, and it is unusual at this price.
A steel folder with the same battery would be ten pounds heavier, and you would feel it every time you lifted it.
Suspension in two places you would not expect
There is a front fork, and the seat tube is sprung as well. Neither is trail suspension; both take the edge off a kerb or a patch of broken tarmac.
On twenty-inch wheels that matters more than it would on a full-size bike, because a small wheel drops into everything a large one rolls over.
Seven gears and a twist throttle
A Shimano seven-speed drivetrain gives you something to work with past the assisted limit, and a half-twist throttle handles pulling away from a standstill.

It fits more than one person
The handlebar height adjusts, so a tall rider and a short one can share the bike without anything being swapped.
On a folding bike bought for a household rather than a person, that is worth more than a specification.

This is the price of the low weight and the low cost: the battery is the smallest we stock. Twenty-odd miles is the claim, and claims are measured at the lowest assist level on flat ground.
If your round trip is long or hilly you will be charging it every night, and in winter the figure drops again. The bands in the table below are the honest version. For a short urban commute with a train in the middle, it is exactly the right bike. For anything longer, buy a bigger battery and do not let us sell you this one.

- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
