The Fafrees F20 Light carries a 603 Wh pack, larger than sixty four per cent of our catalogue, and folds to 81 by 35 by 62 centimetres, at £694.

Sixteen and three quarter amp hours is a lot for this money
Most folding bikes at seven hundred pounds carry ten amp hours. This has two thirds more, and Fafrees quote 65 to 80 km from it.
The pack weighs 3.3 kg and comes off the frame, so it charges on a worktop rather than beside the bike. Six hours from empty on the supplied three amp charger.

It folds small, and the numbers are published
Eighty one by thirty five by sixty two centimetres, folded at the handlebar and the frame.
Measure the boot, the cupboard or the space under the desk before you order. A published folded size is what that measurement is for, and plenty of makers do not give one.
A hard fork, and why that is deliberate
There is no suspension fork. Fafrees state it plainly rather than leaving you to discover it.
A cheap suspension fork on a folding bike adds weight, adds a hinge that wears, and does very little on 1.95 inch tyres. A rigid fork on a bike this size is the honest choice, and the tyres do the damping.

E-Mark in particular is a road vehicle certification rather than a bicycle one, which tells you what the lighting and the wiring were tested against.
Fifty six pounds
Twenty five point two kilograms, lighter than seventy two per cent of our catalogue, which for a bike carrying a six hundred watt hour battery is respectable.
Take the 3.3 kg pack out and it is a bike you can lift into a boot with two hands.
Who it fits
Fafrees size it for riders between 155 cm and 195 cm, with the saddle running from 73 to 92 cm and the handlebar adjustable through fifteen centimetres.
An adjustable bar over that range is what lets one folding bike genuinely fit two people, and the 40 cm standover makes getting on easy.
Before the first ride
It arrives folded with a charger and a manual.

- Fit the pedals and set the saddle
- Check tyre pressure on both twenty inch wheels
- Check both disc brakes before you use the assistance
- Charge to full once before the first long ride
The brakes and the sensor are the compromise
Mechanical disc brakes on 160 mm rotors rather than hydraulics, and a cadence sensor rather than a torque sensor, with three assist levels rather than five. The payload is 265 pounds, toward the bottom of our range.
The cables work and any shop can service them for the price of a set of pads, and on a fifty six pound bike at 15.5 mph that is adequate.
Buy it for the battery. Six hundred watt hours that folds, with a rack and mudguards already on it, for under seven hundred pounds is the argument here and it is a strong one.

- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
