Why this page is red, and what PVY actually publishes
PVY labels three of its rows "International Version": 32 km/h top speed, 50 Nm of torque, and a throttle. It also notes the 250W motor supports unlocking to 500W.
Those are the figures our table carries, and 32 km/h is above the 25 km/h an electric bicycle must cut its assistance at. PVY does not publish a CE specification alongside them, so we cannot claim one. Write to us before you order if you want this bike for the road: we will ask PVY which version ships to the UK and tell you what they say.
A belt instead of a chain
There is no chain on this bike, and that changes the ownership rather than the ride.

Hydraulic brakes that cut the motor
Hydraulic rather than cable, with a power-off function on the levers.
One finger is enough, they keep their bite in the wet, and touching a lever stops the motor pulling. A shock-absorbing fork at the front, a 1200 lumen IPX5 headlight and an integrated taillight.
Forty-one pounds, with iron fittings
Lighter than 95% of our catalogue, on an upgraded 6061 aluminium frame.
The fenders are plastic and the rear rack is iron, which is the sensible way round: the rack carries load, the fenders only carry water. Twenty by 2.5 inch tyres and a Pro Wheel 58-tooth crankset.

A walk mode up to 6 km/h, a 10-degree climbing limit, three to five assist levels, 265 lbs of payload. PVY does not publish a charging time and that row stays empty below.

- Can I return my electric bike?
- Yes. You can ride the bike and still return it. Tell us within 30 days of delivery and we book the courier and collect it from your door. Contact us first and we will guide you through the process.
- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
