Two motors, two hundred and forty newton metres between them
The PVY MAX26 has a motor in each wheel, quoted at 120 Nm each, on a 48 volt twenty five amp hour pack, at £1,039.
Unlocked it runs 1200W per motor, which is far outside the UK road rules, so we sell it for private use on private land. Please read the panel above before you order.
Where you can and cannot ride it
An electrically assisted pedal cycle is capped at 250W continuous. PVY ship this machine at 250W per motor and publish an unlock to 1200W per motor.
Because that capability is built in, we sell it for your own property or land where the owner has given you permission. On a road or a cycle path the unlocked machine would need registration, tax, insurance and a licence.
A motor in each wheel is all wheel drive
Not one big motor: two, one front and one rear.

On loose ground, two motors is a different machine from one motor twice as strong.
A hundred and fifty kilometres claimed
Twenty five amp hours at 48 volts, higher capacity than ninety per cent of our catalogue, quoted at 150 km with pedalling and 80 km on the throttle alone.
Our table carries 93 miles. With both motors unlocked, expect a good deal less than either figure, and no manufacturer prints that number.

Twenty six inch fat tyres, which is the better size
Twenty six by four inches rather than the usual twenty. A bigger wheel rolls over obstacles instead of climbing them and holds speed across rough ground.
You get the float of a fat tyre without the nervousness of a small wheel, and on a machine with two motors that stability matters more than usual.
A lockable fork, and hydraulic brakes
The fork locks out, so it stops absorbing your pedalling on smooth ground, and there are hydraulic discs at both ends with aluminium alloy levers.
At eighty one pounds with two motors pulling, hydraulics are the right specification rather than an upgrade.
Upgraded 6061 aluminium, and mudguards
An aluminium frame rated to carry a hundred and fifty kilograms, with plastic mudguards fitted and an integrated tail light.
Aluminium means nothing rusts when the machine lives in a shed or outside, which is where eighty one pounds ends up living.
Before the first ride
It arrives largely assembled and at eighty one pounds it is easier with two people.
- Fit the front wheel, handlebar and pedals
- Bed the hydraulic brakes in at walking pace before using either motor
- Set tyre pressure: soft for grip, firmer for range
- Ride it in its delivered setting until it is familiar
- Charge to full before the first long ride
The sensor is the compromise
A cadence sensor rather than a torque sensor, with three levels of assist.
The motor arrives a beat after you start pedalling rather than in proportion to your effort. On a machine with this much power that is less noticeable than it would be on a light bike, but it is where PVY saved the money.
Who should not buy it
Anyone who needs public roads, and anyone with stairs. Eighty one pounds is a machine you wheel into a shed.
Buy it if you have land and you want genuine all wheel drive traction with twenty five amp hours behind it. Two motors and that much battery for a thousand pounds is a lot of capability.

- Can I return my electric bike?
- Yes. You can ride the bike and still return it. Tell us within 30 days of delivery and we book the courier and collect it from your door. Contact us first and we will guide you through the process.
- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
