The Cyrusher Asuka is a step through trekking bike at £764 from £1,799. It claims 75 miles, which is longer than eighty five per cent of our catalogue.
Road legal at 250W: no licence, no tax, no insurance, nothing to register.
The torque sensor is the reason this bike feels different
Nearly every electric bike at this price uses a cadence sensor: it detects that the pedals are turning and switches the motor on, which feels like a switch rather than help.
A torque sensor measures how hard you are pushing and matches the motor to it. Press gently and you get a little; stand on the pedals for a hill and you get a lot. It feels like your own legs got stronger rather than like a motor cut in a second late.
It is the single most expensive thing to get right on an electric bike, and it is the reason the original price was £1,799.
Seventy five miles, from Samsung cells
Cyrusher quote 120 km on a 36 volt fourteen amp hour Samsung pack, rated for 800 charge cycles. At two charges a week that is eight years of cycles.
The battery sits inside the frame rather than bolted on the outside, so it is out of the weather and the bike looks like a bike.
The panel below turns the capacity into energy per mile and gives the eco, mixed and full assist bands. Plan around the mixed one.
Step through, and why that is not only for short riders
The top tube is dropped, so you step through instead of swinging a leg over the back. Standover is 58 cm.

Shimano MT200 hydraulic brakes
Proper hydraulic discs with 160 mm rotors, not a house brand. One finger stops the bike, they do not fade on a long descent, and they are the most commonly serviced brake in Europe, so any shop has the parts.
On a bike that will carry 350 pounds down a hill, that matters more than it sounds.

Ten gears, and a 700c wheel
A Shimano 4700 ten speed derailleur on 700c wheels with 45 mm Chaoyang tyres. That is a touring specification: big wheels that hold speed, tyres wide enough for a gravel track, and enough gears that you are never stuck between two.
The motor caps at 15.5 mph, so above that your gears are doing the work. Ten of them is why the bike stays pleasant above the assist limit instead of feeling geared out.
Fifty five pounds, and lighter still without the battery
Lighter than three quarters of our catalogue, and the battery comes out at 2.9 kg, leaving a 22 kg frame. Take the pack indoors and the bike is liftable onto a rack or up a short flight of steps.
6061 aluminium throughout, so it will not rust when it lives outside.
Lights fitted, front and rear
Both fitted from the factory and run off the main battery, so there is nothing to charge separately and nothing to remember.

It arrives largely built.

What it is not
There is no rear suspension and no front fork listed, so this is a rigid trekking bike. On a rutted forest track you will feel it, and that is not what it was built for.
Buy it for paved roads, canal paths, country lanes and gravel tracks, carrying things, over long distances. On that ground the torque sensor and the 75 mile claim make it the best value bike on our shelves.

- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
