This Model Is Fully Compliant With UK Road Regulations
This bike is built to comply with UK Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle (EAPC) regulations, meaning it can be used on public roads and cycle paths without registration, tax, or a licence. Motor assistance is limited to 250W and cuts off at 15.5 mph (25 km/h).
See UK LegislationThis one carries 468 Wh of battery. The maker quotes 43 mi; in mixed riding with some hills, expect nearer 32 mi. A full charge costs about £0.13. Across a year that is roughly £983.00 less than making the same journeys by car, so the bike pays for itself in about 8 months. Everything here is worked out from this bike's own specification. Estimates, not promises: the assumptions are printed underneath.

| Low assist, flat roads | 43 mi |

More bike than the price suggests
The AAIRSK GT900 costs less than four fifths of the bikes we sell, and it arrives with the kit people normally pay more for: twenty-six inch wheels, suspension at both ends, twenty-one Shimano gears and disc brakes front and rear.
Of the thirty-three full-size twenty-six inch bikes on our shelf, only seven cost less than this one, and none of those seven give you all four of those things.
It is road legal in the UK at 250W: no licence, no tax, no insurance, no test. Claimed range is 43 miles, and the table further down this page tells you honestly what that becomes on hills and full assist.

Your commute stops being a decision
The reason to own this is not the specification. It is that a twelve mile round trip stops being something you weigh up in the morning and becomes something you just do.
You arrive at the same time every day, you arrive without needing a shower, and you arrive having had twenty minutes outdoors instead of twenty minutes in traffic.
Five assist levels mean you choose how much of the work is yours. Most riders sit on level one or two on the flat and keep the rest for the hill on the way home.

It costs pennies to run, and the numbers are on this page
This is the argument that survives the first month. A full charge costs less than a newspaper, there is no tax, no fuel, no MOT and no insurance premium, and the servicing is a chain and a set of brake pads.
We have put the real arithmetic in the table below rather than asking you to take our word for it: what a charge costs, what a year of riding costs, and what the same year costs in a car. For most commutes the bike has paid for itself inside a year.

Suspension at both ends, which is unusual here
Nearly every bike at this price has a front fork and a rigid back end. This one is sprung at both, and on a British road you feel the difference inside a mile.
The fork absorbs kerbs and potholes. The rear takes the washboard ruts of a gravel track, the ones that otherwise arrive through the saddle and end the ride early.
What you get for it is range in the other sense: you stop planning routes around which roads are smooth.

Twenty-one gears, so a hill is a choice
The Shimano drivetrain is what makes this feel like a bicycle instead of an appliance. A wide spread of gears means you pick your effort rather than accepting whatever the motor has decided.
It also protects you on the worst day. A single-speed electric bike with an empty battery is a very heavy sulk. This one is still a bike, and you will still get home.

Brakes that work in the wet and cost nothing to keep
Disc brakes front and rear mean rain does not halve your stopping distance the way it does on rim brakes. Through a British winter that is not a refinement, it is the point.
They are mechanical rather than hydraulic, and that is deliberately in your favour here: you can adjust them yourself at the roadside with one Allen key, and a set of pads costs a few pounds at any shop.

Charge it like a phone, not like a car
Plug it in when you get home and it is full by morning. There is no routine to learn and nothing to plan around.
The battery is lithium-ion with a management system watching the cells: it balances them, protects them from heat and from being run flat, and that is what decides whether a battery is still good in three years.

Everything you look at while moving, and nothing else
The display shows speed, battery, distance and assist level. That is the complete list of things a rider reads at fifteen miles an hour, and leaving the rest off is why it stays readable in daylight.
You always know how much is left, which is the difference between confidence and rationing.

Tap to unlock, and it is worth less to a thief
The GT900 wakes to an NFC card. Tap it on the display and the bike is live; take the card with you and the motor is dead weight to anyone who wheels it away.
It is not a lock and you still need one. What it removes is the small key in the rain, and what it adds is a bike that is much less attractive to an opportunist.

Big wheels ride over what small wheels fall into
Wheel size is the specification buyers skip and then feel every single day. A twenty-six inch wheel meets a pothole at a shallower angle, so it rolls over the lip instead of dropping in.
The tyres are a middle width: enough tread for a gravel path, narrow enough not to drag on tarmac. For a bike that will spend most of its life on roads, that is the right compromise rather than a cheap one.

Riding within twenty minutes of opening the box
It comes largely built. What is left is the front wheel, the handlebar and the pedals, plus setting the saddle, and the tool for it is in the box.
- Multifunction tool, for the build and for later adjustments
- Mudguard
- NFC key card
- Air pump
- Charger
Every part on it is standard bicycle hardware. Any shop in the country can service this bike without a dealer account, a proprietary part or a diagnostic tool, and that is what keeps a cheap bike cheap to own.

Lit, certified, and checked before it ships
An LED headlight is fitted from new, which matters from October onwards when half of the commuting week happens in the dark.
The bike carries CE certification and the battery system monitors more than a dozen protective functions. None of that is exciting. All of it is the difference between a battery that ages gracefully and one that surprises you.

Where it is not the right bike
Two honest limits, because you should hear them from us rather than find them out.
The rated payload is the lowest in our range. Check the figure in the table below against your own weight plus whatever you carry, because it arrives sooner than most people expect. And the steel frame that gives the comfortable ride makes the bike heavy to lift, so stairs at both ends of a commute will wear on you.
If you want to ride genuine mountain trails, buy a trail bike. If you want a road-and-path bike with more equipment than its price implies, this is the one on our shelf we would point you at.

- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
