You cannot ride this on a public road
In the UK a motor over 250W is not an electrically assisted pedal cycle, so this bike is for private land only: ground you own, or ground where you have the owner's permission. Not a road, not a pavement, not a cycle path.
We are telling you this first rather than in the small print, because it is the single fact that decides whether this is the right purchase. If you have nowhere private to ride, buy one of our 250W bikes instead.
Torque is what you actually feel
Seventy-five newton metres is a lot on a bicycle frame. It is not top speed that you notice, it is the shove from a standing start and the way a loose climb stops being a negotiation.
A smaller motor spins the rear wheel on wet grass or gravel. This one keeps pulling.
A battery you do not think about
Twenty amp-hours at forty-eight volts is among the largest packs in our range. On private land you are rarely far from where you started, so what the capacity really buys is days between charges rather than distance in one go.

Six hours to fill, so charge it overnight
A large battery takes a long time. Plan on plugging it in at the end of a session rather than between two, and it will always be ready.
Charging little and often is easier on the cells than running flat and filling from empty, and it is what keeps a pack healthy into its third year.
Twenty-six inch wheels hold their speed
Big wheels meet a rut at a shallower angle and carry momentum across rough ground instead of bleeding it into every hole. On a field or a farm track that is the difference between riding and fighting.
It also means the bike steers like a bicycle rather than a toy, which matters more as the speed goes up.
Steel, because this bike will be dropped
The frame is carbon steel: heavier than aluminium, and far more forgiving of the treatment a machine like this invites. Steel bends before it breaks and can be welded anywhere.
It is the right material for a bike that lives outdoors and gets used hard, and the wrong one for a bike you carry upstairs.
Brakes you can service yourself
Mechanical discs, front and rear. They need checking more often than hydraulics, and on a bike this quick that is a habit worth forming rather than a flaw.
In exchange, a cable and a set of pads cost a few pounds and any bike shop in the country can fit them.
It carries more than half the catalogue
The rated payload is above the middle of our range, so a larger rider, or a rider with a loaded pack and tools, is well inside what the frame is built for.

What to do before the first ride
It arrives largely built. The rest is twenty minutes.
- Fit the front wheel, handlebar and pedals
- Set both brakes and test them at walking pace first
- Check tyre pressure: lower for loose ground, higher for hard-packed
- Confirm where you are going to ride it, and that you are allowed to
- Charge to full before the first proper session
Where the money went
At this price something has to give, and here it is the finishing rather than the mechanics. The motor, the battery and the wheels are the expensive parts and they are the parts that are generous.
You are buying capability, not polish.
Not a commuter, and not a first bike
This is fast, heavy and not road legal, which rules out almost every reason people buy an electric bike. It is not a way to get to work and it is not a gentle introduction.
Buy it if you have land, you want power, and you understand that a heavy bike with a flat battery is a long walk home. Otherwise our 250W range is the right shelf.

- Can I return my electric bike?
- Yes. You can ride the bike and still return it. Tell us within 30 days of delivery and we book the courier and collect it from your door. Contact us first and we will guide you through the process.
- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.

Torque is unreal on the climbs and the fat 26" tyres soak up everything. Best off-road toy I've bought this year.
Really impressed with the build quality for the price. The Shimano gears shift smoothly and the brakes hold it well on steep descents. Took about an hour to assemble but everything lined up perfectly.
Proper fast and handles rough ground brilliantly. Really chuffed with it.
Bought this for weekends on my brother's farm and it hasn't disappointed. The 750W motor flies up muddy inclines and the big 20Ah battery easily lasts a full day of riding. Heavy, but built like a tank.
Beast on the trails. Loads of power and grip.
