A city bike that does not pretend otherwise
The AAIRSK S800 is built for roads, towpaths and the school run: twenty-six inch wheels, an upright position, and a 250W motor that keeps it inside UK road law.
No licence, no tax, no insurance. Nothing here is styled as a mountain bike in order to sell as one.
Big wheels ride over what small ones fall into
A twenty-six inch wheel meets a pothole at a shallower angle and rolls across the lip rather than dropping in. On patched British tarmac that is felt every day rather than occasionally.
The upright position keeps you looking at the traffic instead of at your front tyre, which is the safety feature nobody lists.
Forty-three miles, and what that means in practice
The claimed range is longer than a third of our catalogue, which for a town bike is a week of short trips between charges.

The motor flattens hills, you still ride
Two hundred and fifty watts is a helping hand rather than a replacement for pedalling. It takes the sting out of a climb and shortens a headwind, and you arrive having ridden a bicycle.

Disc brakes, not rim brakes
Plenty of bikes at this price still use rim brakes, which lose much of their bite as soon as the rim is wet. These are discs front and rear.

- Set the saddle so your leg is nearly straight at the bottom of the stroke

Where the money did not go
There is no suspension to speak of and the brakes are mechanical. At this price something has to give, and here it is the chassis rather than the battery or the motor.
That is the right trade for a bike used on roads and paths, and the wrong one for rough ground. If you want to ride bridleways, buy something with a proper fork. If you want a dependable town bike at a fair price, this is one of the safest choices on our shelf.

- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
