The Varun M26-2 carries a 500W motor, double what UK road law permits on an electrically assisted pedal cycle. We sell it for private land only: ground you own, or ground where you have permission.

Light for the power it carries
At fifty-six pounds it sits below the middle of our range for weight while carrying a motor in the top third for output.
Most high-power bikes are heavy enough that the power is spent moving the bike. This one keeps more of it for moving you, and one person can still get it into a car.
Rated for gradients most bikes stall on
Varun quote this frame for climbs between seventeen and thirty-eight percent. The upper end is a bank you would think about before walking up.
Thirty-two newton metres is modest on paper, but on a light bike with 500W behind it, that is the combination that gets up.
The brakes put charge back in
Braking is regenerative: some of what you scrub off on a descent goes back into the battery rather than into heat. Varun put it at around five percent.
On a battery this small that is worth having, and it also means the motor is helping to slow the bike so the pads do less work.
Sealed to IP65, and two years of warranty
Dust and driven rain are not a concern on a machine meant for tracks, and the electronics are rated for it.
Varun back this with twenty-four months, which is longer than almost anything else we list. On a bike that will be used hard, that is the manufacturer saying what it expects the bike to survive.
Aluminium, and a wide fit
The frame is aluminium rather than steel, which is where the low weight comes from, and it is rated to a hundred and fifty kilos of rider and load.
It suits riders from roughly five foot three to six foot five, which is a wider range than most bikes here manage.
Twenty-six inch wheels on ordinary tyres
Despite the fat-tyre styling, this runs a normal-width twenty-six inch tyre. That makes it quicker and easier to pedal than a true fat bike, and less capable on sand or deep mud.
For firm tracks, farm roads and grass it is the better choice. For soft ground it is not.
Four to six hours to fill
A small pack charges quickly. Plug it in after a session and it is ready long before you are.

- Fit the front wheel, handlebar and pedals
- Check both disc brakes and test them at walking pace before using the power
- Set the saddle so your leg is nearly straight at the bottom of the stroke
- Confirm you have somewhere private and lawful to ride it
- Charge to full once before the first session
The smallest battery on this page
Seven point eight amp-hours is among the lowest capacities we sell, and a 500W motor will empty it far faster than a 250W one would. The quoted range assumes you are pedalling, not using the throttle.

You cannot ride this on the road
The web address of this page says 250W. The motor is 500W, and that is what the specification table below reports. A motor over 250W is not an electrically assisted pedal cycle in the UK, and this bike cannot legally be ridden on a public road, a pavement or a cycle path.

- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
