Five hundred watts that folds, for private ground
The Varun S20-1 puts a 500W motor and eighty newton metres on a folding fat-tyre frame. That is double what UK road law permits, so we sell it for private land only: ground you own, or ground where you have permission.
Not a road, not a pavement, not a cycle path. That decides the purchase, so it comes first.
Rated for gradients most bikes stall on
Varun quote this frame for climbs between seventeen and thirty-eight percent. The upper end is a bank you would think about before walking up.
Eighty newton metres through twenty-inch wheels is the combination that gets there: small wheels give the motor more leverage, which is why a compact fat bike pulls away so hard.
Four-inch tyres, and what they are for
Run at low pressure, tyres this wide make sand, wet grass, mud and loose gravel passable rather than a fight. The contact patch is large and the bike does not dart when the surface changes under it.
They also work as suspension, which matters on a frame with a fork at the front and nothing at the back.
The brakes put charge back in
Braking is regenerative: some of what you scrub off on a descent returns to the battery rather than becoming heat. Varun put it at around five percent.
It also means the motor helps slow the bike, so the pads do less work on a long way down.
Sealed to IP65, and two years of warranty
Dust and driven rain are not a concern on a machine meant for tracks and fields, and the electronics are rated accordingly.
Varun back it with twenty-four months, longer than almost anything else we list. On a bike that will be used hard, that is the manufacturer saying what it expects the bike to survive.
Aluminium, and it folds for the car
An aluminium frame keeps the weight down on a machine carrying fat tyres and a motor this size, and it will not rust between sessions outdoors.
Folded it goes in a boot. Treat the hinge as transport rather than storage: you drive to the land you are allowed to ride on.
A compact fit, and a generous load rating
Varun quote the frame for riders from roughly four foot eleven to five foot eleven, which makes this one of the few high-power machines here that suits a shorter rider properly.
It is rated to a hundred and fifty kilos of rider and load, so a rider with tools or a pack is well inside it.
Four to six hours to fill
A fast charge for a pack this size. Plug it in at the end of a session and it is ready for the next.

What to do before the first ride
It arrives largely assembled.
- Unfold and lock the frame hinge, the stem and the seat post
- Fit the pedals and set the saddle height
- Check both disc brakes and test them at walking pace before using the power
- Confirm you have somewhere private and lawful to ride it
- Charge to full once before the first session
You cannot ride this on the road
A motor double the legal limit is not an electrically assisted pedal cycle in the UK. This cannot be ridden on a public road, a pavement or a cycle path.
If you have the ground and you want something that folds into a car and climbs hard when it gets there, this is well judged for it. If you do not have the ground, our 250W range will take you to work and this will not.

- Can I return my electric bike?
- Yes. You can ride the bike and still return it. Tell us within 30 days of delivery and we book the courier and collect it from your door. Contact us first and we will guide you through the process.
- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
