The Hidoes B3 runs a 1200W motor on 26 × 4 inch fat tyres, with an 18.2Ah battery, at £1,289.

Where you may ride it, and where you may not
In the UK an electric bicycle is capped at 250W and must cut its assistance at 15.5 mph. This is nearly five times the power, and Hidoes states a top speed of 25 to 60 km/h.
It is sold for your own land, or land whose owner has given you permission. On a public road it would be a moped: registration, insurance, tax and a licence.

Hidoes publishes 25 to 60 km/h, which is 15.5 to 37 mph. Our table carries 15.5 mph, the lowest of that band.
We keep the cautious figure because overstating a speed is the expensive mistake, but you should know the machine is capable of a great deal more than the table says. That is the whole reason this page carries the red panel.
26-inch wheels rather than 20
Most fat-tyre machines here run 20-inch wheels. This one runs 26, which is mountain bike size.

- And off-road air tyres rather than solid ones
The brakes are a mixed set, and you should know
Hidoes describes a disc brake at the front and an oil brake at the rear: one of each rather than a matched pair.
On a 77 lb machine with 1200W, we would want hydraulic at both ends, and it is the first thing we would check before ordering. Ask us which wheel gets which and we will have Hidoes confirm it.
25 to 37 miles, and Hidoes gives the range twice
The spec sheet says 40 to 60 km on the throttle alone. Their own FAQ claims up to 96 km under ideal conditions.
Our table carries 25 miles, the bottom of the sheet's range. Ridden hard on 1200W, that is the honest number. The panel below turns the 48V 18.2Ah capacity into energy per mile so you can see what the power costs.
Front suspension and a sprung saddle
Hidoes lists a suspension fork and a dual-spring suspension seat post.
Those are the two places you actually feel the ground. On 4-inch tyres run soft, that is three stages of cushioning between you and the trail. Aluminium frame, 331 lb payload, front LED headlight.
Before the first ride, and who it is for
It arrives nearly built, in a box 162 × 29 × 78 cm weighing 95.9 lbs for a 77.2 lb machine. Hidoes does not publish a torque figure and that row stays empty below.
- Fit the front wheel, the handlebars and the pedals, with two people
- Bed both brakes in at walking pace before you use the power, and note which bites harder
- Run the tyres soft for grip, firmer for range
- Helmet, gloves and long sleeves, every time
- Allow six to eight hours for the first charge

- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
