The Hidoes B9 carries thirty-three point eight amp-hours, more than ninety-seven percent of our catalogue, behind a 750W motor. Both put it beyond UK road law, so we sell it for private land only: ground you own, or ground where you have permission.
Not a road, not a pavement, not a cycle path. That is the fact that decides the purchase.
Ninety-three miles, and why the battery is the story
A 750W motor asked to work hard will empty a normal pack in an hour. This one carries roughly two and a half times the capacity of a typical bike here, which is what turns a machine like this from a lap into a session.
The panel below turns the capacity into energy and into what a charge costs. Even on a pack this size the answer is small.
Hydraulic brakes, which it needs
Hydraulic discs front and rear. With this much battery on board and this much motor, cable brakes would fade on the first long descent and lose their bite as soon as the ground was wet.
One finger is enough, and they keep working when the pads are hot.
Sixty-five newton metres through twenty-inch wheels
Small wheels give the motor more leverage, which is why a compact fat bike pulls away harder than the numbers suggest.
They also keep the standover height low, so getting on and off a heavy machine is easy.
Fat tyres, and what they change
Wide tyres at low pressure make sand, mud, wet grass and loose gravel ordinary rather than a fight. The contact patch is large and the bike stays settled when the surface changes underneath it.
On tarmac they cost you range, which on a pack this size you can afford.
Six to nine hours to fill
The largest batteries take the longest. This is an overnight charge, not something you fit between two sessions.
Charge after use rather than before it and the machine is always ready when you are.
What to do before the first ride
It arrives largely assembled and it is not light: get a second pair of hands for the unboxing.

- Bed the hydraulic brakes in at walking pace before using the power
- Set tyre pressure low for soft ground, higher for hard-packed
- Confirm you have somewhere private and lawful to ride it
- Charge to full once before the first session

You cannot ride this on the road
A motor three times the legal limit is not an electrically assisted pedal cycle in the UK. It cannot be ridden on a public road, a pavement or a cycle path.
If you have the ground, the battery is what you are buying and there is very little else at this price that carries one. If you do not have the ground, none of it helps, and our 250W range will take you to work.

- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
