The Fafrees F26 Pro runs a 100 mm suspension fork with lockout on 27.5 inch Kenda tyres, at £754.
Road legal at 250W and certified to EN15194: no licence, no tax, no insurance, nothing to register.
The lockout is what makes one bike into two
A hundred millimetres of travel is real suspension, not a token spring. The lockout stiffens it so your pedalling goes into the road rather than into the fork.
Locked, it is an efficient bike for a commute. Open, it takes a bridleway. Most bikes at this price have a fork that does neither job properly and cannot be switched off.

Steel flexes under load rather than transmitting every jolt, survives being knocked about at a bike rack, and can be welded by any workshop in the country.

A two amp charger on sixteen amp hours, so this is an overnight job. The pack is removable, so it charges on a worktop rather than beside the bike.

Who it is for
Fafrees size it for riders between 160 cm and 200 cm. The brakes are mechanical rather than hydraulic and the sensor is cadence rather than torque, which is where the money was saved.
Buy it if your route is mixed: tarmac out, gravel or bridleway back, with a rack for your bag. The lockout fork is what makes a single bike do both, and at seven hundred and fifty four pounds with mudguards and lights already on it, very little else offers that.

- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
