This Model Is Fully Compliant With UK Road Regulations
This bike is built to comply with UK Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle (EAPC) regulations, meaning it can be used on public roads and cycle paths without registration, tax, or a licence. Motor assistance is limited to 250W and cuts off at 15.5 mph (25 km/h).

The manufacturer's figures, not ours.
This one carries 576 Wh of battery. A full charge costs about £0.16. Everything here is worked out from this bike's own specification. Estimates, not promises: the assumptions are printed underneath.

Six-spoke one-piece wheels, and a thirty six centimetre step over
The Fafrees F20 folds, runs one-piece cast wheels rather than spoked ones, and steps over at just 36 cm, at £794.
Road legal at 250W and certified to EN15194: no licence, no tax, no insurance, nothing to register.

Cast wheels rather than spoked ones
Six spokes cast as part of the rim instead of thirty six wires laced to a hub.
- Nothing to work loose or need truing, ever
- Stiffer under a load
- Nothing to catch a strap or a shopping bag
- And nothing to clean between
On a folding bike that gets thrown in and out of a car boot, a wheel that cannot go out of true is worth more than a wheel that is slightly lighter.

A thirty six centimetre step over
Very low, and on a folding bike that is unusual: the fold usually forces a chunky frame junction right where you want to put your leg.
You step on rather than climb on, with a loaded rack behind you, which is what makes a bike get used twice a day instead of once.

Sixty to eighty kilometres, and why the table is blank
Our specification table has no range row for this model, because none came through in a form we store, and we do not fill a blank with a guess.
Fafrees quote 60 to 80 km from a 576 watt hour pack built on 21700 cells, which is 37 to 50 miles. We are telling you here where that number came from rather than placing it in the table as though it arrived with the rest.
The panel below computes the bands from the sixteen amp hours directly.

Twenty one seven hundred cells
The larger, newer cylindrical cell format, at 3.9 kg and removable so it charges indoors. Seven hours from empty.
Cell format is the detail nobody advertises and it is what decides whether a pack still holds its capacity in year four.

A flip-up saddle and folding pedals
The saddle hinges up and the pedals fold, as well as the frame and the handlebar.
Folded to 88 by 38 by 70 centimetres, which is genuinely small for a bike with three inch tyres. Measure the boot or the cupboard before you order.

Rack, mudguards and brake lights, fitted
A rear rack, full mudguards, a kickstand and front and rear lights with a brake light, all from the factory.
The payload is 140 kilograms, and there is a 70 mm suspension fork, though Fafrees state plainly that it has no lockout.

Certified to three standards
EN15194, CE and E-Mark, with IP54 water resistance on the bike and the display.
IP54 is dust and splashing water: rain and puddles rather than a jet wash. A stated rating tells you where the limit is.

Before the first ride
It arrives folded and largely built.
- Unfold and lock the frame, the handlebar and the pedals, then check all three
- Set the saddle between 78 cm and 100 cm
- Set tyre pressure on the 20 by 3.0 tyres
- Check both disc brakes before you use the assistance
- Charge to full once before the first long ride

Who it is for
Fafrees size it for riders between 160 cm and 195 cm. The brakes are mechanical rather than hydraulic and the sensor is cadence rather than torque, which is where the money was saved.
Buy it if you want a folding bike with nothing on it to maintain: cast wheels that never need truing, a rust resistant chain, a low step over and everything you would otherwise buy already fitted.

- Yes. All electric bikes sold by BikTron are brand new, factory-sealed, and sourced directly from authorised manufacturers and official distributors.
- How do I choose the right electric bike for me?
- Pick a bike based on how you plan to ride. City bikes are great for commuting, folding bikes work well if you need compact storage, mountain bikes handle hills and mixed terrain, and cargo bikes are ideal for carrying shopping or loads. If you are not sure, our Bike Quiz can help.
- Are the batteries original and certified?
- Yes. Every electric bike battery is brand new and original from the manufacturer, with full safety certification and performance testing.
- Are the bikes tested before shipping?
- Yes. Each e-bike goes through a quality check before dispatch, covering electronics, brakes, motor response, and battery performance.
- Do electric bikes come with a warranty?
- Yes. All electric bikes from BikTron include a manufacturer warranty. Duration depends on the brand and model. Most bikes include a 12-month warranty as standard.
- How long does delivery take?
- Standard UK delivery usually takes 2 to 7 business days. Remote areas may take a little longer. You will receive a tracking link by email once your order is dispatched.
- Which payment methods do you accept?
- We accept Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Klarna buy-now-pay-later. All payments are processed securely.
- Can I return my electric bike?
- Yes. You can ride the bike and still return it. Tell us within 30 days of delivery and we book the courier and collect it from your door. Contact us first and we will guide you through the process.
- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
