This Model Is Fully Compliant With UK Road Regulations
This bike is built to comply with UK Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle (EAPC) regulations, meaning it can be used on public roads and cycle paths without registration, tax, or a licence. Motor assistance is limited to 250W and cuts off at 15.5 mph (25 km/h).
See UK LegislationThis one carries 360 Wh of battery. The maker quotes 56 mi; in mixed riding with some hills, expect nearer 42 mi. A full charge costs about £0.10. Across a year that is roughly £986.00 less than making the same journeys by car, so the bike pays for itself in about 9 months. Everything here is worked out from this bike's own specification. Estimates, not promises: the assumptions are printed underneath.

Forty six pounds on twenty eight inch wheels
The Fafrees F1 weighs 46 lbs, which puts it in the lightest twelve per cent of our catalogue, on full size 28 inch wheels, at £699.
Road legal at 250W: no licence, no tax, no insurance, nothing to register.

Light and full size is the combination that is hard to get
Lightness usually comes from small wheels and a short frame. This keeps 700c wheels and gets there anyway.
- You can carry it up a flight of stairs
- It goes on a car rack without a plan
- It rides like a bicycle when the battery is empty
- And it has the wheel size of a proper road bike

Fifty six miles from ten amp hours
Thirty six volts and ten amp hours is about 360 watt hours, which is a small pack, and fifty six miles is a long claim against it.
The arithmetic works because of the rest of the bike: forty six pounds, narrow tyres and a large wheel. A heavy bike on fat tyres spends most of its battery moving itself before it moves you.
The panel below turns the capacity into energy per mile so you can check the claim rather than take it.

An aluminium frame, and no rust
Aluminium alloy, which matters most on a bike that lives outside or in an unheated shed.
Forty six pounds is also the point at which a bike stops being something you dread moving. That is what decides whether it gets used on holiday or stays in the garage.

Mechanical disc brakes
Cable operated discs rather than hydraulics. They keep their bite when the rims are covered in road spray, which rim brakes do not.
One Allen key adjusts them, pads cost a few pounds from any shop, and there is nothing to bleed. On a forty six pound bike at 15.5 mph they are more than adequate.

Before the first ride
It arrives largely built. Allow space for a full size bike rather than a folder.
- Fit the front wheel, handlebar and pedals
- Set the saddle high enough that your leg almost straightens at the bottom of the stroke
- Check tyre pressure, which matters more on narrow tyres than fat ones
- Check both discs before you use the assistance
- Charge to full once before the first long ride

One of the older listings on our shelf
This one predates our current supplier, so its specification table is shorter than the ones beside it: there is no torque figure, no charging time and no maximum load, because none was published.
Everything in the table is stated and nothing has been filled in. The payload in particular is worth asking about before you order if you carry much, and we will check with the supplier.

What forty six pounds costs you
A small battery and a modest motor. There is no suspension, no rack and no mudguards, and no torque figure to compare.
All of that is the same decision, made consistently: every part that would have added weight was left off. It is a coherent bike rather than a cheap one.

Who it is for
Roads, cycle paths and canal towpaths, carrying yourself and a bag, over distances where 360 watt hours will stretch.
Buy it if you want something light with big wheels that you will genuinely pick up and carry, and you would rather have that than a bigger battery on a heavier frame. At six hundred and ninety nine pounds, very little else in our range is this light.

- Yes. All electric bikes sold by BikTron are brand new, factory-sealed, and sourced directly from authorised manufacturers and official distributors.
- How do I choose the right electric bike for me?
- Pick a bike based on how you plan to ride. City bikes are great for commuting, folding bikes work well if you need compact storage, mountain bikes handle hills and mixed terrain, and cargo bikes are ideal for carrying shopping or loads. If you are not sure, our Bike Quiz can help.
- Are the batteries original and certified?
- Yes. Every electric bike battery is brand new and original from the manufacturer, with full safety certification and performance testing.
- Are the bikes tested before shipping?
- Yes. Each e-bike goes through a quality check before dispatch, covering electronics, brakes, motor response, and battery performance.
- Do electric bikes come with a warranty?
- Yes. All electric bikes from BikTron include a manufacturer warranty. Duration depends on the brand and model. Most bikes include a 12-month warranty as standard.
- How long does delivery take?
- Standard UK delivery usually takes 2 to 7 business days. Remote areas may take a little longer. You will receive a tracking link by email once your order is dispatched.
- Which payment methods do you accept?
- We accept Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Klarna buy-now-pay-later. All payments are processed securely.
- Can I return my electric bike?
- Yes. You can ride the bike and still return it. Tell us within 30 days of delivery and we book the courier and collect it from your door. Contact us first and we will guide you through the process.
- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
