The VIPCOO H2 is sold as a teenagers' dirt bike, and VIPCOO give a recommended age of 12 and up. It is also a 3500W machine that reaches 34 mph.
Thirty four miles an hour is motorway-slip-road speed. Whatever the age on the box, this is not a toy and it is not a bicycle, and it is sold here for private use on private land only. Please read the panel above before you order.
Where it can and cannot be ridden
An electrically assisted pedal cycle is capped at 250W and 15.5 mph. This is fourteen times the power, more than twice the speed, and it has no pedals.
It cannot be used on a road, a pavement, a cycle path or a park in the UK. It belongs on your own land, or on land where the owner has given permission, and the rider needs to be supervised and wearing proper protection.
The three gears are the most important control on it
VIPCOO publish the range at each gear, and the gear is also the speed limit:
- Gear one: 55 km, and the setting to start a new rider on
- Gear two: 40 km
- Gear three: 28 km, and the full 34 mph
Set it to gear one and leave it there until the rider has hours rather than minutes on it. The range figures tell you the same story from the other side: the faster you go, the less far you get.
Who it physically fits
VIPCOO size it for riders between 140 cm and 180 cm, which is 4ft 7in to 5ft 11in.
That is a genuine constraint rather than a suggestion. A rider who cannot get both feet down on a machine this heavy at a standstill is a rider who will drop it.
Front hydraulic forks and a nitrogen shock
Hydraulic damping at the front and a nitrogen charged shock at the rear.
Nitrogen gas rather than air keeps the damping consistent as the shock heats up on a rough run, which is a motorcycle specification rather than a bicycle one. On a machine doing 34 mph over dirt, that is the right sort of suspension to have.
Hydraulic brakes at both ends
Front and rear hydraulic discs. At this weight and this speed, nothing else would be adequate.
Bed them in properly before the first real ride, and check them before every ride the way you would on a motorcycle, because that is what this is closer to.
Fourteen inch front, twelve inch rear
Different sizes deliberately: the bigger front wheel rolls over what it hits and steers more steadily, the smaller rear keeps the drive compact and the seat low.
Off-road air tyres on an iron frame. Iron is heavy and it is also what survives being dropped, which this machine will be.
Twenty three amp hours, and lights fitted
A removable 48 volt twenty three amp hour pack, higher capacity than eighty nine per cent of our catalogue, with a headlight, tail light and turn signals.
IPX4 for water, which is rain and puddles rather than a jet wash. The panel below turns the capacity into energy per mile.

It arrives largely assembled and it is a two person unpack.

Our honest view
Three thousand five hundred watts and 34 mph is a great deal of machine to hand a twelve year old, whatever the manufacturer's recommendation says. We sell it, we are not going to pretend otherwise, and we would rather be the shop that says this plainly than the one that repeats the marketing.
If it is for a younger or lighter rider, keep it in gear one, ride with them, and treat it as a small motorcycle rather than a bike. If you want something for a teenager to learn on that is genuinely forgiving, ask us and we will point you at it instead.

- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
