Private Land Use Only.
Not for public roads, pavements or cycle paths. Its motor and assisted top speed are above the UK EAPC limits of 250W and 15.5 mph, which makes it a motor vehicle in law. It would need registration, insurance and a licence. Ride it on private land.
See UK LegislationThis one carries 960 Wh of battery. The maker quotes 40 mi; in mixed riding with some hills, expect nearer 30 mi. A full charge costs about £0.27. Across a year that is roughly £975.00 less than making the same journeys by car, so the bike pays for itself in about 20 months. Everything here is worked out from this bike's own specification. Estimates, not promises: the assumptions are printed underneath.

One of the two heaviest machines we sell, and it is built that way on purpose
The Hidoes HD-ET1 weighs a hundred and ten pounds, more than ninety-six percent of our catalogue. Its 750W motor puts it beyond UK road law, so we sell it for private land only: ground you own, or ground where you have permission.
Not a road, not a pavement, not a cycle path. That decides the purchase, so it comes first.

Eighty-five newton metres, the most on this shelf
Torque is what keeps the wheel turning where the ground gives way, and this has more of it than almost anything else we stock.
On a machine this heavy that is not indulgence: mass has to be moved before it can be carried, and a weaker motor would simply sit there on a loose bank.

Weight is a design decision here
A hundred and ten pounds is not a machine that was made heavy by accident. It is what a frame, a fork and a set of wheels weigh when they are built to carry a load over rough ground without flexing.
The trade is honest and total: this will not be lifted, carried, or taken anywhere it cannot be ridden or driven to.

A twenty amp-hour pack
In the upper quarter of our catalogue for capacity, which a machine of this weight needs before it needs anything else.
The panel below turns the capacity into energy and into what a charge costs at the socket. Moving this much bike is what the energy goes on.

Fat tyres on twenty-inch wheels
Wide tyres at low pressure spread the weight so it does not sink into soft ground, and small wheels give the motor the leverage to move it.
They also keep the standover height low, which on a machine you cannot pick up matters every time you get on.

Aluminium, which is why it is only a hundred and ten pounds
The frame is aluminium alloy. In steel a machine built to this specification would be heavier still, and it would rust in the conditions this one is meant for.
Aluminium is the reason the weight stops where it does.

Seven hours to fill
A large pack on a standard charger. Charge after a session rather than before one, and the machine is always ready when you are.
Charging often rather than running to empty is what keeps a battery healthy into its third year.

What to do before the first ride
It arrives largely assembled and it is very heavy: two people for the unboxing, not one.
- Fit the front wheel, handlebar and pedals
- Check both brakes and test them at walking pace before using the power
- Set tyre pressure low for soft ground, higher for hard-packed
- Confirm you have somewhere private and lawful to ride it
- Charge to full once before the first session

Mechanical brakes on a hundred-and-ten-pound machine
The brakes are cable discs rather than hydraulic. On a bike this heavy that is the specification we would most like to see changed, and it is the one thing to keep on top of: check them before every session, not every month.
They are at least simple and cheap to service, and pads cost a few pounds at any shop. But on a long descent with a load aboard, treat them with more respect than you would hydraulics.

You cannot ride this on the road
A motor three times the legal limit is not an electrically assisted pedal cycle in the UK. It cannot be ridden on a public road, a pavement or a cycle path.
If you have ground and a job for it, this is one of the most substantial machines we stock and the torque figure is the reason. If you do not, there is nothing about it that works for you, and our 250W range is the right shelf.

- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
