The longest range on our shelf
The Emoko EC27 Pro claims ninety-three miles, which is longer than ninety-six percent of everything we sell. It is built around a single idea: stop thinking about charging.
For most commutes that is a week and a half between plugs. It is road legal at 250W, so there is nothing to license, tax or insure.
Twenty-seven inch wheels roll further for the same effort
Large wheels and relatively narrow tyres are the efficient combination on tarmac: less rolling resistance, more speed for the same push, and a calmer ride at pace.
That efficiency is half of where the range comes from. The battery is the other half.
It fits tall riders, which is genuinely hard to find
The frame suits riders up to about six foot six. Most electric bikes in this catalogue stop well short of that, and a tall rider on a small frame is uncomfortable in a way no adjustment fixes.

A fork you can lock, and a seat post that absorbs
The front fork locks out, so you can firm it up for a smooth road and open it when the surface turns. The seat post has its own shock absorber for the times the road is worse than expected.
Neither is trail suspension. Both are exactly right for a bike that will spend its life on roads and cycle paths.
Seven gears and five assist levels
Enough range in the gearing to deal with a headwind or a long drag, and enough in the assistance to decide how much of it is yours.
Assistance stops at the legal limit; the gears carry on.
Ready for a January evening out of the box
It comes with a headlight, a rear light that brightens when you brake, a horn and a rear kickstand.
This is a bike you can commute on from the day it arrives, without a shopping list of extras. Half the winter commuting week happens in the dark, and lights bought as an afterthought are the ones that are flat when you need them.
Dual disc brakes, front and rear
Discs hold their stopping power when the wheels are wet, which rim brakes do not.
On a bike with this much range, and therefore this much time spent riding, the brakes are a specification worth having rather than a box ticked.
Aluminium, and not heavy for what it is
An aluminium frame keeps the weight sensible on a bike carrying a battery this size. It sits above the middle of our range but well below the fat-tyre bikes.
One person can get it onto a rack without help, which is not true of everything here.
What to do before the first ride
It arrives largely assembled. Allow a long first charge.
- Fit the front wheel, handlebar and pedals
- Set the saddle so your leg is nearly straight at full extension
- Check both brakes and the lights before the first dark ride
- Set the fork lockout for the surface you ride most
- Charge to full before you start: this battery takes a while
A big battery takes a long time to fill
Seven to eight hours from empty. Plan on charging it overnight rather than between two journeys.
That is the cost of the range, and with ninety-odd miles on tap you will rarely be charging from empty anyway.
Two limits worth knowing before you order
The rated payload is lower than almost every other bike we sell. Check the figure in the table below against your own weight plus whatever you carry, because on this model it arrives sooner than most people expect.
And the narrow tyres and simple fork that make it efficient also make it a road bike. Take it down a rutted bridleway and you will wish you were on something with fat tyres. For tarmac and well-kept paths, nothing else here goes as far.

- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
