Where you can and cannot ride it
The limit is 250W continuous and 15.5 mph of assistance. This is four times the power, and Emoko publish both a 25 km/h default and a 50 km/h released setting.
It belongs on your own property, or on land where the owner has given you permission. On a road or a cycle path it would need registration, tax, insurance and a licence.
A hundred and eighty kilograms is a different class of load
Most bikes stop at 150 kg and plenty stop at 120. This one is rated for 180, on 36 spoke aluminium wheels front and rear.

Spoke count is the detail behind the number: a load rating means nothing if the wheels are not built for it.
Two range figures, and Emoko label which is which
Ninety kilometres on the motor alone, a hundred and fifty with you pedalling. Fifty six miles and ninety three.
Most manufacturers publish only the second figure and let you assume it is the first. Labelling both is honest, and the motor-only number is the one to plan around if you intend to use the power.
Suspension at both ends and Kenda tyres
A spring fork at the front and rear suspension, on Kenda 20 by 4 inch tyres. Kenda is a named tyre maker rather than an unbranded casing, which matters on a ninety three pound bike.
Fat tyres run soft plus suspension at both ends is what keeps a heavy machine controllable on ground that is not flat.
Hydraulic brakes and a brake light
Hydraulic discs, an LED headlight and a tail light that comes on under braking.
At this weight and this speed, hydraulics are the only sensible specification. The brake light is unusual and useful if anyone else is on the track with you.
Fifty newton metres, and what that means here
Fifty newton metres from a 1000W rear hub. That is moderate torque with a lot of power behind it, which is a different character from a high torque 250W bike.
It means the bike builds speed strongly rather than launching off the line, and it will hold that speed up a long incline where a smaller motor fades. Emoko also specify no pedal assist sensor, so the assistance is by level rather than by effort.
Who it fits
Emoko size it for riders between 160 cm and 200 cm, which is 5ft 3in to 6ft 7in, with a standover of 53 cm and the saddle at 84.5 cm.
The frame is aluminium alloy with a leather seat and a 700 mm handlebar. Seven gears, a colour display and a bell.
Six to seven hours on charge
A 56 volt two amp charger on a twenty amp hour pack. An overnight job rather than an evening one.
Top it up rather than running it flat if you want the pack healthy past its second winter.

It arrives largely assembled, and at ninety three pounds it is a two person unpack.

It is not for public roads and it is not a first electric bike. Buy it if you have land, you want to carry real weight over rough ground, and you want the wheels and the brakes underneath it to be built for that rather than merely rated for it.

- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
