A moped shape, and a motor to match
The Emoko C93 is built to look and sit like a small moped, with a long seat, wide bars and a low frame. Its 1000W motor is four times the UK road limit, so we sell it for private land only: ground you own, or ground where you have permission.
Not a road, not a pavement, not a cycle path. That is the fact that decides the purchase.
It carries nearly four hundred pounds
The rated payload is in the top eighth of everything we sell. Two adults on the long seat, or one adult and a substantial load, is inside what this frame is built for.
On a machine shaped like this, that is the specification people actually want to know.
Hydraulic brakes, which it needs
Hydraulic discs front and rear. At ninety-three pounds, with a kilowatt of motor and potentially two people aboard, cable brakes would fade on the first long descent.
One finger is enough, and they keep working when the pads are hot and the tracks are wet.
Twenty amp-hours, and where it goes
A large pack, in the upper quarter of our range. A 1000W motor asked to work hard will empty a small battery quickly, so the size is not indulgence, it is what makes the machine usable for a session rather than a lap.

Fat tyres on twenty-inch wheels
Small wheels with wide tyres keep the seat height low and the contact patch large, which is what you want on soft ground with a heavy machine and a passenger.
Run them soft for sand and mud, firmer for hard-packed track.
Aluminium, which is why it is not heavier still
The frame is aluminium alloy. At ninety-three pounds this is already among the heaviest things we sell, and steel would have made it worse.
It also will not rust, which matters on a machine that lives outdoors and gets hosed rather than wiped.

A large pack on a standard charger. Plan on charging it overnight after a session rather than between two.
Charging often rather than running to empty is what keeps a battery healthy into its third year.
What to do before the first ride
It arrives largely assembled and it is heavy: get a second pair of hands for the unboxing.

- Bed the hydraulic brakes in at walking pace before using the power
- Set tyre pressure for the ground you are riding
- Confirm you have somewhere private and lawful to ride it
- Charge to full once before the first session
Heavy, and much heavier with a flat battery
With assistance the weight disappears. Without it, every pound is there. Pedalling this home unassisted is not something anyone does twice, so plan sessions around the charge rather than finding the bottom of it.
You cannot ride this on the road
A motor four times the legal limit is not an electrically assisted pedal cycle, and the moped styling does not make it a moped either: it has no registration, no type approval and no number plate.
It cannot be ridden on a public road, a pavement or a cycle path. If you have private land, it is one of the most capable things we sell for the money. If you do not, it is the wrong purchase.

- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
