Forty pounds, a carbon belt, and a suspension fork
The ADO Air 20S weighs 40 lbs, runs a carbon belt with a torque sensor and adds a front suspension fork, at £1,089.
250W and 15.5 mph: it meets the EAPC rules, so there is no licence, no tax and no registration.

A belt instead of a chain
There is no chain on this bike, and that changes the ownership rather than the ride.
Nothing to oil, nothing to mark your trousers, nothing to rust in a shed over winter. ADO puts the expected service life of the belt at several times a chain's, which is the reason to pay for one.
A suspension fork, which the base Air 20 does not have
That is what the S adds, along with forty pounds on the price.
On 1.95-inch tyres the fork is what absorbs a paving edge, because the tyre is too narrow to do it. If your route is smooth, the Air 20 does the same job for less.
A single speed, and ADO says so plainly
The transmission row reads "None": one gear, no shifter, no cable.
Combined with a belt and a torque sensor there is nothing to operate on this bike but the pedals. On flat city streets that is a deliberate specification rather than a saving, and it is most of why the bike is 18 kg.
A Samsung battery and a 1200 lumen headlight
ADO names the cell maker rather than writing "lithium-ion" and stopping.
Twelve hundred lumens is a measured figure, and the light is rated IPX5 in its own right. The whole bike is rated IPX5 and the display is an IPS colour unit. Working range -10 to 50 °C.
Before the first ride, and who it is for
Folded it is 77 × 33 × 85 cm. Payload is 265 lbs, and ADO sizes it for riders of 150 to 200 cm. Hydraulic disc brakes, double-walled aluminium wheels, folding pedals.

Buy it for the belt and the fork together. It is the version of the Air 20 for streets that are not smooth, and it stays under forty pounds of weight doing it.

- Can I return my electric bike?
- Yes. You can ride the bike and still return it. Tell us within 30 days of delivery and we book the courier and collect it from your door. Contact us first and we will guide you through the process.
- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
