It is styled like a moped, and it is not one
The frame, the seat and the 16-inch fat tyres are a moped's. The specification is not.
Two hundred and fifty watts, assistance cut at 15.5 mph, pedals fitted and a UK-legal specification. You ride it on the road like any other electric bicycle. VICTRIP publishes a peak figure of 1800W alongside the 250W rating, and it is the rating the law is written about.
One hundred and ten newton metres from a legal motor
That is an exceptional figure on a 250W machine, and on a 99 lb bike it is what makes it usable.

- It is also what climbs a hill without a run-up
- A 48V 32A controller is what delivers it
- And rated power tells you nothing about any of it
UL2271, and why that line matters
UL2271 is the American safety standard for lithium batteries in light electric vehicles: overcharge, short circuit, crush and thermal runaway.
It is a test passed in a third-party laboratory rather than a claim by the maker, and almost no sheet in this catalogue cites it. The pack is 1200 Wh at 48V and weighs 13 lbs on its own.
One-piece wheels, with no spokes at all
VICTRIP casts the rim and hub as a single part.
No spokes to work loose under load, no wheel truing, and nothing for a strap or a foot to catch in. On a bike carrying 400 lbs, the wheel is what complains first, and this one has nothing to complain with.
Hydraulic brakes, and VICTRIP upgraded them
Front and rear hydraulic discs with brake priority protection on the levers, where the standard R6 uses cable.
One finger is enough, they do not fade on a long descent, and touching a lever cuts the motor. On a 99 lb bike loaded to 400, that is the difference that justifies the price over the R6.
Before the first ride, and who it is for
VICTRIP sizes it for riders of 5 ft 3 in to 6 ft 1 in, with the seat 77 cm off the floor and a total length of 135 cm. It arrives 92% assembled, in a box 130 × 24 × 80 cm. High-carbon steel frame, single speed, 24.5 cm of ground clearance, 160 km claimed with pedal assist and 75 km on the throttle.

- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
