A privately owned electric scooter cannot legally be used on a public road, pavement or cycle path in the UK. That is true of every scooter sold anywhere, at any power, and it is not a matter of how fast you go.
This one is sold for your own property, or land where the owner has given you permission.

Forty eight volts and fifteen amp hours is 720 watt hours, and a scooter costing four hundred and twenty nine pounds usually carries half that.

Disc brakes and an electronic brake
Front and rear discs plus electronic braking through the motor.
The electronic brake takes the everyday slowing and wears nothing; the discs are there for the stop that matters. On a machine capable of 28 mph, having both is the right specification rather than a luxury.
Ten inch wheels, and what that means
Ten inches is small. It keeps the scooter light and foldable, and it is less forgiving of a pothole than a bicycle wheel would be.
At twenty eight miles an hour, a ten inch wheel meeting an edge is the failure mode to respect. Ride the ground you know, and slow for the ground you do not.

The load rating is the one that matters on a scooter, because the deck and the stem carry all of it. Ask us before you order and we will chase the figure from the supplier.
Who should not buy it
Anyone without land, and anyone who has not ridden a fast scooter before. Four hundred and twenty nine pounds buys a lot of capability here and none of it is forgiving.
Buy it if you have somewhere to ride it and you want the largest battery and the most power available at this money. On both counts it is a great deal of machine for the price.

- Can I return my electric bike?
- Yes. You can ride the bike and still return it. Tell us within 30 days of delivery and we book the courier and collect it from your door. Contact us first and we will guide you through the process.
- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
