The BOPZIN Q8 runs a 60 volt system with 35Ah of battery, higher capacity than ninety seven per cent of our catalogue, and a top speed of 45 mph, at £1,339.
It is far outside the UK road rules and we sell it for private use on private land only. Please read the panel above before you order.
Where you can and cannot ride it
An electrically assisted pedal cycle is capped at 250W continuous and 15.5 mph of assistance. This is twelve times the power and nearly three times the speed.
It belongs on your own property, or on land where the owner has given you permission. Forty five miles an hour on a machine with bicycle geometry asks for a rider who already knows what that feels like, and for protective equipment.
Sixty volts is the unusual specification here
Almost everything we sell runs 36 or 48 volts, with a handful at 52. This runs 60.
Higher voltage moves the same power at lower current, which means less heat in the controller and wiring and less sag when the motor is working. At three thousand watts, that stops being a nicety and starts being the reason the machine holds its performance instead of fading.
Two thousand one hundred watt hours
Sixty volts and thirty five amp hours together is roughly 2.1 kilowatt hours, which is three or four times what a typical electric bike carries. Removable, so it charges indoors.
BOPZIN quote 60 to 90 km on the motor alone and 80 to 110 with pedalling. Six to eight hours to a full charge.

Full suspension and hydraulic brakes
Suspension front and rear, with hydraulic discs at both ends.
At forty five miles an hour on twenty five inch fat tyres, neither is optional. Bed the brakes in properly before you use the power in earnest and check them before every ride.
High-carbon steel, and a 397 pound rating
Steel rather than aluminium, rated to carry a hundred and eighty kilograms, which is higher than ninety one per cent of our catalogue.
Steel flexes rather than cracking, survives being dropped, and can be welded by any workshop. On a machine that will be ridden hard over rough ground, that is worth more than saving a couple of kilograms.

Twenty five by three inch tyres
An unusual size: larger in diameter than the twenty inch fat tyres most of these machines use, and slightly narrower at three inches.
A bigger wheel rolls over obstacles instead of climbing them and is far more stable at speed, which on a machine capable of forty five miles an hour is the more important quality.
Before the first ride
It arrives largely assembled and it is a two person unpack.

BOPZIN do not state a weight for this machine, so the table below leaves that row out rather than guessing. A steel frame with 2.1 kilowatt hours of battery will not be light. Ask us and we will chase the figure.
This is not for public roads and it is not a first electric machine. Buy it if you have land, you understand what forty five miles an hour asks of you, and you want a sixty volt system with two kilowatt hours behind it.

- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
