The iScooter iX6 unlocks with a tap of a card, runs 11 inch pneumatic tyres on a magnesium frame, and climbs a stated 35 per cent, at £848.
It is not an electrically assisted pedal cycle, so we sell it for private use on private land. Please read the panel above before you order.
Where you can and cannot ride it
A privately owned electric scooter cannot legally be used on a public road, pavement or cycle path in the UK, at any power.
This one is sold for your own property, or land where the owner has given you permission.
How it differs from the iX7Pro
We list the iScooter iX7Pro at £789, which is fifty nine pounds less and has twice the power. That looks like an obvious choice until you look at what this one has instead.
Eleven inch wheels rather than ten, a 35 per cent climbing figure rather than 25, and NFC unlocking. The iX7Pro is the faster machine; this is the one that handles rough ground better and is harder to steal.
NFC lock and unlock
Tap a card or a phone to unlock it. No key, no code, and nothing for someone else to simply switch on.
On a machine left in a shed or a yard, that is a real deterrent rather than a convenience. Very little at this price has it.
Eleven inch wheels, and why bigger is better here
An inch of wheel diameter sounds like nothing and is not.
- A bigger wheel rolls over an edge instead of stopping against it
- More air in the tyre, so more cushioning
- More stable at speed, which is where scooters bite
- And the reason the 35 per cent climbing figure is achievable
Eight hundred and forty watt hours
Forty eight volts and 17.5 amp hours with a smart battery management system, seven to nine hours to fill, quoted at 50 to 60 km.

Comfort mode and off-road mode
Comfort runs 10, 15 and 25 km/h. Off-road runs 15, 30 and 45.
Two separate sets rather than one long list, which means you can hand it to someone in comfort mode without them finding 45 km/h by accident.
Turn signals, a flashing brake light and ambient lighting
Front and rear LEDs, indicators, a red flashing brake light, ambient lighting and a bell, with a full colour dashboard and cruise control.
A flashing brake light is noticed sooner than a steady one. On shared ground that margin is the whole point of fitting one.
Before the first ride
It arrives folded, in three steps, at fifty five pounds. iScooter give a minimum rider age of 14.
- Check every fastener on the stem and the folding latch before the first ride, and again after the first hour
- Set up the NFC card before you need it rather than after
- Bed both brakes in at walking pace
- Start in comfort mode until it is familiar
- Charge to full before the first ride
The front brake is the compromise
A mechanical disc at the front, and a mechanical disc with E-ABS electronic braking at the rear.
The rear has two systems, the front has one. At 28 mph that works, but the iX7Pro has a disc and an electronic brake on both wheels, and if braking is what you care about most, that is the one to take.

- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
