A belt drive, an automatic gearbox, and a second battery option
The ADO Air One Pro runs a belt drive with an automatic two-speed hub, and takes a second battery for 100 km + 40 km, at £1,539.
250W and 15.5 mph: it meets the EAPC rules, so there is no licence, no tax and no registration.
A belt instead of a chain
There is no chain on this bike, and that changes the ownership rather than the ride.

Add an automatic two-speed hub and there is nothing to operate on this bike but the pedals.
ADO publishes marked power and peak power, and they are the same
Two hundred and fifty watts marked, two hundred and fifty watts peak.
Almost every other sheet in this catalogue quotes a peak larger than the rating, and some quote only the peak. Publishing both as one number is the clearest statement of compliance a maker can make, and ADO backs it with an SGS CE certificate. There is no throttle, which ADO states plainly.
A second battery, and ADO says what it adds
One hundred kilometres on the standard pack, plus forty more in dual-battery mode.
Most makers quote a single number and leave you to work out what an extra pack buys. ADO gives the increment, which is the figure you actually need when deciding whether to pay for the second one. Ask us before you order if you want it fitted.
The handlebars rotate ninety degrees
Not a folding frame: the bars turn in line with the bike so it stores flat against a wall.
It is the difference between a bike that fits down the side of a hallway and one that does not, without the hinge a folding frame needs. Total length 172 cm, handlebars 70 cm wide.
A 1200 lumen headlight and an IPX7 display
Twelve hundred lumens is a measured figure, not a claim about brightness, and the light is rated IPX5 in its own right.
The 2.4-inch IPS display is rated IPX7, which means immersion rather than rain. Rating the display above the rest of the bike tells you where ADO expected water to get in.
331 lbs of payload, and a rack that is part of the frame
More than 58% of our catalogue, with an integrated aluminium rear rack rather than a bolted-on one.
Iron mudguards, a lockout suspension fork, forged aluminium two-finger brake levers, double-walled aluminium wheels and 20 × 2.4 inch tyres. ADO sizes it for riders of 150 to 190 cm.
Before the first ride, and who it is for
Saddle 82 to 107 cm off the ground, handlebars 104 to 111 cm. Working range -10 to 50 °C. It weighs 25 kg with accessories, and the box is 31 kg.

- Can I return my electric bike?
- Yes. You can ride the bike and still return it. Tell us within 30 days of delivery and we book the courier and collect it from your door. Contact us first and we will guide you through the process.
- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
