The ADO AIR 30 Ultra carries anti-theft GPS, a Bafang H730 automatic three-speed hub and a torque sensor, at £1,839.
250W and 15.5 mph: it meets the EAPC rules, so there is no licence, no tax and no registration.

A Bafang three-speed automatic hub
No shifter and no cable: the hub changes ratio on its own as the speed changes, and Bafang is a named maker rather than an anonymous part.
ADO also sells an Air 30 Pro with the two-speed H700. This page is the Ultra, with the three-speed H730, and the extra ratio is most of what separates them.
This model comes in two frame sizes, and they are not the same bike
ADO publishes a full geometry set for each, and the difference is real.
M: for riders 153 to 175 cm, saddle 87 to 103.5 cm, total length 182.4 cm. L: for riders 173 to 195 cm, saddle 93 to 109.5 cm, total length 184 cm.

A torque sensor, and two riding modes
A cadence sensor reads whether you are pedalling. A torque sensor reads how hard, so the assistance follows your effort rather than switching in as a block.
ADO adds an Eco and a Sport mode over the top of it, and claims up to 100 km from a 37V 10Ah pack. Our table carries 62 miles.
IPX5 on the bike, IPX7 on the display
ADO rates the two separately, and the display gets the higher number.
IPX7 means the display survives immersion, not just rain. It is a 3.5-inch IPS colour unit, and rating it above the rest of the bike is a sign of where ADO expected the water to get in. SGS CE certified.
700C wheels and hydraulic brakes

A big wheel rolls over a drain cover instead of dropping into it, and it holds its speed between pedal strokes. Hydraulic discs stop it. Payload is 265 lbs, lower than 96% of our catalogue, so check it against your own weight.

- Can I return my electric bike?
- Yes. You can ride the bike and still return it. Tell us within 30 days of delivery and we book the courier and collect it from your door. Contact us first and we will guide you through the process.
- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
