Forty pounds, single speed, no suspension
The ADO AIR 20 weighs 40 lbs, runs a single speed with a torque sensor and hydraulic brakes, at £1,049.

ADO names the CE version specifically
The sheet reads "CE Version: 250W" for marked power, "CE Version: 250W" for peak, and "CE Version: 37 N·m" for torque.

A single speed, and no suspension
ADO lists both as absent rather than leaving you to discover it.
One gear and a rigid fork are what make this the lightest bike in the Air range at 18 kg. On flat city streets with 1.95-inch tyres it is a deliberate specification, not a saving. If your route has real hills, the Air 20 Pro with its automatic two-speed is the one to look at.

ADO claims up to 100 km, and our table carries 62 miles.
That is a small battery: smaller than 96% of what we sell. The figure is possible because the bike is 18 kg, the tyres are narrow, there is no suspension to absorb energy and the torque sensor only gives what you ask for. The panel below shows the arithmetic.
Hydraulic brakes on a 40 lb bike
Hydraulic rather than cable, which is generous on a machine this light.
One finger is enough, they keep their bite in the wet, and they need no adjustment as the pads wear. Double-walled aluminium wheels, an IPS colour display, and a working range published as -10 to 50 °C.
A torque sensor and three assist levels
A cadence sensor reads whether you are pedalling. A torque sensor reads how hard, so the assistance follows your effort rather than switching in as a block.
Three levels rather than five, which on a single-speed bike is the right amount of choice: there is only one gear to combine them with.
Before the first ride, and who it is for
ADO sizes it for riders of 150 to 200 cm, which is the widest height band of any bike in this batch. Payload is 265 lbs. Net 18 kg with accessories, 24 kg boxed.

- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
