Metal arms, a 15 to 40 mm clamp, one-handed
A handlebar mount with metal internal arms and extension arms rather than the moulded plastic that most of this category is made from, EVA resin silicone on the four corners and the face, and a 360 degree ball joint.
It takes phones from 4.7 to 6.8 inches up to 15 mm thick with the case on, and clamps to bars between 15 and 40 mm.

The handlebars on our bikes are aluminium and 22.2 mm at the grips, which is the standard bicycle size and sits in the middle of this clamp's range.

That last point is the one people forget. On a bike with a centre-mounted screen, the mount goes between the screen and the grip, not on top of the screen.
The arms being metal is the whole argument
Phone mounts fail in one of two places: the arm that holds the phone, or the joint that holds the arm. Both are plastic on a cheap mount, and both go brittle after a summer of ultraviolet and a winter of salt.
Metal inside changes the failure mode. It also changes the weight, to 255 g, which on a 30 kg e-bike is not a number you will ever notice.
Quick release, and what it is for
The clamp opens with a button and tightens with a hand screw, so the mount comes off the bar in seconds without tools.
That is worth more than it sounds on an e-bike. A phone mount left on a bike in a rack is an advertisement, and the thing itself is what a passer-by takes when there is no phone in it. Take the mount with the phone.
Vibration is the one risk with any bar mount
It has to be said, because it applies to every phone mount ever made and most listings pretend otherwise.
Sustained high-frequency vibration through a rigid mount can damage the optical image stabilisation in some phone cameras. The silicone cushioning here exists for exactly that, and it helps. On long rides over rough ground, a phone in a jersey pocket is still kinder to the camera than any bar mount, and that is true of this one too.
Who it is for
It is for navigation. You are on a bike that will cover 60 to 140 km on a charge, and at some point that means riding somewhere you do not know by heart, with a map you need to glance at rather than stop for.
It is not a phone case and it is not waterproof. In heavy rain, put the phone away. If you want the lighter and cheaper option, our Quick-Release Phone Holder does the same job with a plastic body and a sprung clamp.

- Yes. All electric bikes from BikTron include a manufacturer warranty. Duration depends on the brand and model. Most bikes include a 12-month warranty as standard.
- How long does delivery take?
- Standard UK delivery usually takes 2 to 7 business days. Remote areas may take a little longer. You will receive a tracking link by email once your order is dispatched.
- Which payment methods do you accept?
- We accept Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Klarna buy-now-pay-later. All payments are processed securely.
- Can I return my electric bike?
- Yes. You can ride the bike and still return it. Tell us within 30 days of delivery and we book the courier and collect it from your door. Contact us first and we will guide you through the process.
- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
