Five-Digit Combination Cable Lock
SKU: W19822In Stock
A 97.2 cm cable, 6 mm thick, with a steel chain inside
This is a chain in a nylon sleeve rather than a plain cable: the core is hardened steel, the diameter is 6 mm, and the working length is 97.2 cm. It closes on a 5-digit combination you set yourself.
The extra length over a short chain lock is the point. 97.2 cm reaches around a fat tyre and a frame tube together, or through both wheels and a stand, which an 83 cm chain does not.

What it will and will not stop
Six millimetres is a light lock. Being honest about that is more useful than a paragraph of adjectives.
- It defeats the hand that tries the bike to see if it is loose
- It defeats a small pair of cutters, which is what most opportunists carry
- It does not defeat a proper bolt cropper, and it does not defeat a grinder
- It carries no Sold Secure rating, which many UK e-bike policies ask for
Check your insurance before you make this the only lock on a bike worth four figures.

Where the length actually helps
Most bike racks are designed around a road bike. Our fat bikes are not road bikes: a 20 x 4.0 or 26 x 4.0 tyre is nearly four times the width, and a short lock runs out of chain before it gets round both the tyre and the stand.
Ninety-seven centimetres is what makes the difference between locking the frame properly and locking whatever the chain happened to reach.

Setting and remembering the code
It arrives on a factory setting and the reset instructions are in the box. Do it at home, with the lock open, before the first time you need it.
Five digits is ten thousand combinations, which is plenty against a person standing in the street. It is not plenty against a person with your bike in a van, which is the same point as the paragraph above: this is a lock for while you are nearby.

The seller's own measurement is misprinted
One line of the source listing gives the cable length as 8,55 cm, which would be a keyring. The title and the model name both say 97.2 cm, and 3.2 feet works out at 97.5 cm, so the figure in our table is the one two independent parts of the listing agree on.
We mention it because you may read the same page. If the lock arrives and it is not around a metre long, send it straight back to us and we will sort it out.

Who it is for
It is for the second lock, the shed, the café stop and the school run. Light enough to live in a pannier, long enough to reach round a fat tyre, and a code rather than a key.
It is not for overnight on a city street, and it is not for a bike your insurer has conditions on. For that, buy a rated D-lock and carry this as well: two different locks mean two different tools, and most thieves only carry one.

- Yes. All electric bikes sold by BikTron are brand new, factory-sealed, and sourced directly from authorised manufacturers and official distributors.
- How do I choose the right electric bike for me?
- Pick a bike based on how you plan to ride. City bikes are great for commuting, folding bikes work well if you need compact storage, mountain bikes handle hills and mixed terrain, and cargo bikes are ideal for carrying shopping or loads. If you are not sure, our Bike Quiz can help.
- Are the batteries original and certified?
- Yes. Every electric bike battery is brand new and original from the manufacturer, with full safety certification and performance testing.
- Are the bikes tested before shipping?
- Yes. Each e-bike goes through a quality check before dispatch, covering electronics, brakes, motor response, and battery performance.
- Do electric bikes come with a warranty?
- Yes. All electric bikes from BikTron include a manufacturer warranty. Duration depends on the brand and model. Most bikes include a 12-month warranty as standard.
- How long does delivery take?
- Standard UK delivery usually takes 2 to 7 business days. Remote areas may take a little longer. You will receive a tracking link by email once your order is dispatched.
- Which payment methods do you accept?
- We accept Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Klarna buy-now-pay-later. All payments are processed securely.
- Can I return my electric bike?
- Yes. You can ride the bike and still return it. Tell us within 30 days of delivery and we book the courier and collect it from your door. Contact us first and we will guide you through the process.
- Do the bikes need assembly?
- Most electric bikes arrive 85 to 90 per cent pre-assembled. You will usually need to attach the handlebars, pedals, and adjust the seat. A basic tool set is often included.
- Are BikTron electric bikes legal to ride in the UK?
- Yes. All bikes sold by BikTron that meet UK EAPC rules (250W motor, max 15.5 mph assisted speed, pedal-assisted only) are fully road-legal. You do not need a licence, tax, or insurance to ride them on public roads. Riders must be at least 14 years old.
- What about the electric scooters?
- Those are different, and the law treats them differently. A privately owned e-scooter cannot legally be ridden on a public road, pavement or cycle lane in the UK, whoever sold it. We sell ours for private land use only, with the landowner's permission, and every scooter product page says so. If you want something you can ride to work, choose an electric bike.
